Durable and well constructed. Note the 12" inseam.
My husband's employer decided to extend the privilege of wearing shorts in high summer to all those engaged in outdoor activities. Previously only those not working in the public eye were allowed to wear shorts. The shorts, however, still have to conform to the 'khaki standard.' He moves rental cars from one location to another and originally had a pair of lighter weight dress khakis. These did not hold up to the wear and tear of climbing in and out of cars nor did they shed the dirt from pre-washed cars. These are great; they launder well, and the cargo pockets help him hold onto his belongings, keys, cell phone, sunglasses, wallet etc as he moves from car to car. Warning! Note the 12" inseam. It seems more Fashion Statement than Workwear. My husband is a well proportioned 6'4" and the hem sits right above his knee. A shorter femur would put the hem at your knee or below. For climbing in and out of cars all day that would be annoying. If you had to bend and squat I think annoying would be a mild word. If you make a garment styled for rugged wear it seems it should actually be designed to accommodate rugged activities. That said these work perfectly for him.

Rugged yet dressy. A year later they still look new!
Bought first pair over a year ago and now buying more! Worn regularly by a typical teen boy who beats up his clothes yet these shorts still look new!!! Wash well, no wrinkles or shrinking and always look pressed! He still gets compliments when he wears them. The fabric is a little heavier/thicker than most so as long as you're ok with a heavier fabric, you'll love these! They look high quality, can pass for a "dressier" short and fit in well with his school's strict dress code.

Great fit, good for work or weekends.
First off, these are really tough material but still look like a nornal pair of shorts and are perfectly suited for work or going out on the weekend. These are well made and really confortable, also they dont shrink any after the first wash. As a bigger guy, I find it hard to get the sizes I need at local stores, and when I do find the expected size and try it on, it's either too big or too small. I've found that wrangler is one of the only brands that the size is the same every time I purchase their jeans/shorts.

Good but snug
These are a good pair of shorts. As others have said, they do run a full size small so order up a little. My only draw back is the are a little long for me. I'm 6'3 and they come well below my knees.

Good work shorts
I bought these shorts for my husband who works in our garage a lot and needed shorts that are more durable than most and also clean up better. These ones seem to work, and they're nice shorts even when he's not out in the garage getting them dirty.

Functional & Fits Well
Well made and the fit is generous without being overly large, which is what I want in work pants and shorts. And that's what these are, work clothes. The fabric is fairly heavy and slightly coarse, the seams are heavy and I expect them to wear well.

Just a tad to tight.
The size 38 was a tad tight as the shorts do not stretch as much as the Jeans do, however I am in the process of losing some weight and they will be fine. I really like the Wrangler products overall as they are very comfortable.

Nice pants but run small and have a small button
The pants are nice and seem to be well made, I wore them all day and they seemed to be very comfortable. The only problem I have is they are pretty small, I ordered a size bigger and they still ended up being too small. Also, the button on the pants is very small and extremely close to the material which makes it hard to get the pants buttoned.
