I use it to carry around an iPad mini on the job everyday. Works great, the only issue is some stitching on the bigger pocket for pens. Carefully cut out that stitching and you’re good to go.

Not sure how large your Serve book is, but it is no more then 6 3/4 inches wide you should have no problem
