Barfly Fine Mesh Cocktail Strainer, Copper

I bought this (stainless steel version) about four years ago. Home bar use, we use it about once or twice a week ... have always thrown it in the dishwasher. The mesh is good ... if the cone becomes dented, one can push it back into shape, and the holes remain the correct size to filter. Works very well for double straining pulpy sours and whatnot to make clear beautiful cocktails as desired. While the handle is long, that's an advantage when placing between the mixing tin and the serving glasses while pouring out the drinks. Also, when I use it to remove pulp when pouring citrus juice from a juicer into a mixing tin, I can set this strainer on top of the tin, (perfectly sized for a koriko tin) and then set the jigger in the strainer to let it finish dripping out hands-free, (works well with a leopold 60ml jigger anyways).

I love you barfly! My strainer is absolutely PERFECT. I’ve been a professional bartender for 8+years and swear by this product. If your looking to add a tool to your bar at home or for work look no further and take it from a professional these are the first, last, and best quality tools you will get on the market for a fraction of the cost of other high-end tools. I used to be strictly cocktail kingdom, but after my entire toolset was stollen I couldn’t stomach spending around $300 to $400 get all my tools back to par. I gave these guys a try and I couldn’t be happier, I’m never going back. Plus I get to buy all the gold ones I originally wanted to get from CK for half the price and the same quality while still havOmg plenty of money left over to get myself some extra goodies. This strainer is the PERFECT size, it seemed a little big at first but once you start using it you realize that all the other ones you’ve used where just to small. The quality is superb, it’s durable, feels great in hand, and i’m glad I took a chance on the gold one because I LOVE the golden color of this strainer, it’s so shiny and it doesn’t look like cheap gold at all, it just looks so so sexy when you pull this bad boy out and strain with it. Look no further. You’ve found what you where looking for when it comes to barfly.

Good strainer. Delivery was less than satisfactory. Delivered in a plastic bag. Mesh was bent out of shape. I was able to press out the dents to an acceptable shape. I was considering sending back. Buyer beware. A simple small box would have prevented this.

Large, works as expected. Sturdy and heavy, including the mesh. Has kept its gold color. Fakespot gives it a D grade for validity (i.e., whether phony or not) of the reviews and an adjusted Amazon rating of 2 stars. Come on! This is ridiculous! It's just a strainer, and a well made one.

The handle is slightly too long for the strainer to sit steadily on top of a glass or shaker, but otherwise the build seems solid and it can be used directly below a clamshell-style juicer fairly easily.

Works as promised. Nice size -- larger than some which are too small of my use in my bar set up. The gold finish has a nostalgic/antique feel about it which makes it a conversation piece to some. Seems well made and durable.

Well made strainer. It looks great on the bar and is a nice size. Cleans up quickly and now, after a few months , looks like new.

This is a good quality fine strainer, a must for removing fruit pulp and ice shards from cocktails. Double straining using this with a Hawthorne strainer ensures that the drink looks good and has the best texture. Drinks made with fresh fruit juices particularly benefit from this method, as do shaken drinks served without ice (such as Espresso Martini). The mesh of the strainer and its conical shape ensure that liquid can pass through quickly leaving the pulp and ice fragments behind. The strainer is then easy to clean by knocking the solid material out of it before rinsing through with water. This strainer is good value and does a good job at keeping cocktails smooth and clear.

Endlich mal ein Cocktail-Sieb und kein Küchensieb. Habe versch. Siebe ausprobiert und die meisten sind zu flach als Cocktail-Strainer. Die Form dieses Siebes ist super, wenn auch ein bisschen groß. Qualität scheint gut. Kam ohne Defekt an, obwohl es nur ein einem Papp-Umschlag verpackt war. Lieferung schnell. Alles super soweit.
