Day 6 Plot Watcher Pro Lens Adaptor Kit

rain make camera useless when raining I am going to try to fabricate a rain shield for them to keep rain off lens

the lens needs a shield to keep the dew off of the lens

I purchased this lens kit to go with the Plot Watcher Pro. I wanted to capture time lapse video from an elevated location over a period of several months this past summer and for several weeks this fall. Due to the location, the camera and lenses needed to be out in the elements. Unfortunately, after the first major rainstorm, the wide angle lens got moisture/humidity inside. The result is an area in the center of the frame that is foggy during the first hours of the day until the sun dries it out. Even after the moisture dries a bit, there is still a place in the center of the lens that is cloudy from the repeated moisture accumulation. I called Day 6 and they said there is no way to repair it.If you choose to use this lens kit, I would recommend finding a way to keep it completely dry.

Both wide angle and zoom work well. Clarity is okay, but this may be a function of the Plotwatcher sensor. The case these lens comes in is nice to have, helpful.

I have not used it yet. Both of them fit on the Plot watcher Pro just fine. I think they will work as I expect.

Nice addition. The wide angle works great for a trail and the telephoto really improves a long-range field.

Great add-on but not a necessity. If I had it to do over I would not have ordered this accessory.

Haven't had a chance to actually use them yet, but they fit the Plot Watcher and should be a benefit.
