This stuff is the best!! We have used it for our family for almost 15 years. This is my lifesaver specially when I travel. I always keep this supplement at home. Only thing I do not like about it is that it has soy in it.

I have definitely taken it consistently and as directed at the very hint of a cold, and I've ended up getting sinus infections and bronchitis just as usual over the previous months. Instead of this, I would recommend drinking a lot of water, taking a multivitamin, eating a healthy diet, getting plenty of sleep, and eliminating as much stress from your life as possible. That'll probably be the real trick to health -- not just a weird smelling little pill. UPDATE (5/12): My husband and child were both extremely ill over the past week. My husband was the sickest he's ever been in his life. I took six pills (plus some echinacea tea) the day I felt the sore throat coming on. I DID get sick, but I only got a cough -- no fever, no blistering in the throat, no vomiting, no rash. I am a convert. SECOND UPDATE (11/12): I have a crap immune system. I had shingles in Sept, followed by a kidney infection in October. Horrible! I started taking these again (two in the morning, two in the evening) while I had the kidney infection. My husband and two year old son got a horrible cold and cough, and my husband got bronchitis from it. The little one got ANOTHER cold. Since I've been consistent with taking it, I have not gotten either cold. I also had a small shingles rupture on my finger this morning and took six pills today. It is now gone. (I have had shingles twice this year; I'm a freak of nature.) I'm now a real believer in this stuff. Seriously I am. And I don't believe in many herbal remedy type things. I take a vitamin and fish oil. And this stuff. The ingredients SEEM to work. And they're not so weird -- lots of garlic, echinacea, astralagus ... stuff that's pretty commonly seen as immune boosters. I may not be a double-blind study, but I can swear that this stuff works -- at the very least to prevent upper respiratory infections.

The taste and smell of the capsules are aweful (tNlets are worse) but the stuff really works.... for some it really helps prevent or shorten the cold - for others it lessens the severity..... but it works... dosage says take 6 each time - I can't, too hard on my stomach.... I take 2 or maybe 3 - only after food.... every few hours in the beginning.

One of those items I always keep in on hand! I've been using this product for years and am continuously amazed at how well it works for a variety of aliments. I find it Extremely useful for any kind of skin infection! The first time I tired it for that I had a cat bite that had started getting a little streaky and I could tell there was pus filling up deep inside, since it was a weekend I didn't want to go to the emergency room so I started this hoping I could hold out till monday and see my regular physician. By the next morning the redness was dramatically reduced and the swelling was down to just the immediate puncture site. By monday morning I didn't feel it needed seeing by anyone and within the week it was completely healed over. Now I am Not telling anyone to use this in place of a medical emergency or to self treat, etc, etc... just retelling my own experience. I can also state from experience that my family has held off all range of sicky bugs. And with two children in school, myself working in a public gym and husband as a salesman working with the general public, that's saying something! No one has had anything significant last more than a day or two in years and nothing that has required a medical visit as long as we start with this at the first sign of anything. Oh, one more thing to add; if you have trouble swallowing large pills, go with the capsules they are much more tolerable. And I rarely take the suggested amount. 2 capsules every few hours seems sufficient for me and 1 every few for the kids is plenty.
