Hand Carved Hawaiian Bone Fish Hook Necklace

This is smaller than I thought it would be but it is beautiful.

I got this necklace right on the delivery date as it projected in my Amazon orders and it came in a really nicely packed package so there wasn't any damage to it. When I pulled it out, I was so shocked on how light it was, I own several bone earrings but from the size it looked on the preview, I thought it would be a lot heavier. I haven't taken it off since I got it, I barely notice it's there. The only downside of it is because it's shaped like a hook (haha!) it does sometimes get caught on my shirt when I pull it off. But I've gotten several compliments on how nicely crafted it is and the carvings on it are a nice touch. Would definitely recommend for anyone who is looking for an authentic Hawaiian fish hook necklace. Bonus, it came with some candy.

Pretty cool piece of jewelry. Have worn this necklace a lot since I have bought it. The braided cord is holding up very well and so is the hook. I had a worry that this necklace wasn't made of real bone but over use the hook starts to get an aged look. This made me believe that it is bone. The hook is sharp so don't give it to a kid. One time I took my shirt off with this necklace still on and my shirt snagged on the hook and I heard a "pop" sound. I was worried about my necklace being broken, well the hook popped two holes straight through the shirt. The carvings and fins on the hook make this a beautiful necklace.

I can't wait to give this to my son for his birthday. I was raised on O'ahu and that's where my oldest was born. This is a piece of the islands that he can wear with him always, no matter how far from home we are. It's beautifully made and I feel it's authentic, though I cant verify it's bone or not. His grandfather has a gold one and now he can have one of his very own. Thank you so much for selling these on Amazon!!

I bought this necklace for my husband to wear. He loved the craftsmanship and the look of it. However, the fishhook was actually quite sharp and dangerous to wear if you don’t file the edge down. My son was injured from it while my husband was wearing this necklace and had to be taken to the ER. So if you’re going to buy this product please make sure you are careful with it.

After reading the reviews I decided to buy this for my son for Xmas. I was still a little nervous as I have purchased items like this in the past from other companies and they were very cheap looking! WOW not this one!!! I am extremely pleased, the quality and thickness are supreme! The rope is very easy to adjust, not the usual slip knots! The package arrived on time and even contained Hawaiian candies. If your looking for a fish hook necklace search no more, this is the one to buy!!
