Q: Can this be sewn on instead of iron on?

I think it would be hard by hand might be ok with a machine. Perhaps iron on a contrasting material then hand sew?

It could do it’s definitely worth a try but try and cover with a much larger piece and also put on the inside of trainer

Definitely not cotton it’s like a thick shiny ish material. I’ve used them to patch a hole in my husbands down jacket and it’s been great. And blends in nicely but it’s inside a pocket I wouldn’t put it on the outside of a coat
