We love Mary-Janes, so these are great compromise

seem to be sturdy and of good quality
Really cute shoes, seem to be sturdy and of good quality. Just got them tonight so the proof will be in the wearing. Based on the reviews from others I think they will work just fine. I love that they make half sizes... my daughter is right at the edge of a 10 but an 11 is really too big. The 10.5 fit great and there's still room to grow. I also like the smell - its clearly intentional and subtle which is nice. I will wait to see how they stand the test of a day at preschool, but I am likely going to buy more in different colors. Its hard to find a cute pair of shoes that are good for both dress and play. I think these are going to fit the bill nicely.

Adorable but best for wide/round toddler feet.
Love the look and make of these shoes. My 3 year old daughter's narrow feet didn't fill them out enough though (even though the length worked), and the velcro straps are such that it's not really possible to adjust width much. I returned them and will try again when she is a bit older.

Perfect for little girls!
I like to dress up my girls (3 and 5) well because I don't know how much longer I'll be able to decide what they wear. :) I love Cientas because they look cute with dresses, pants and jeans and wear well on the playground, at school, and at parties. I prefer the navy, because they go with everything, but they didn't have my 5-year olds size in navy so I tried the denim. Navy is still my favorite but denim has worked great!

Love these for my little girls (3 and 5 yo)! Smell like berries when they come out of the box. They wash OK if you don't put them in the dryer. Easy on/off. Navy is my absolute favorite color because it goes basically with everything. We've tried both Cientas and Keds and prefer Cientas. I noticed at the beginning of the school year they run out of stock in most sizes so stock up early!!!

Brand loyalty
We love these shoes for our little one. We have bought several pairs of this brand. They have nice, thick, heavy, non skid soles. The upper material is breathable. You can wash them in the machine. The velcro closure is easy to put on and take off - though clever little ones figure that one out - but unlike other shoes, the velcro is the whole top of the foot - meaning its not as easy for her to shed them. Our daughter is very rough on footwear - she drags the tip of her feet and tears open all shoes over the toes. I still give them 4 stars because the design is well though out.

Soles detached after 2nd day of wear.
These shoes are really cute and seem comfortable. The reason for two stars is because the soles on both shoes already detached after wearing them for two 3 hr school days. I’ve never purchased a pair of shoes where this has happened so quickly! Sad

Delicious smelling shoes
My favorite thing about Cientas is the smell. But they are so cute, easy for my toddler to put on and off (eye roll) and I think she likes the way they feel because she doesn’t ever complain in them.
