My favorite after years of trying to find the best option
I'm a huge fan of this, both the plain and chocolate. I searched for years, trying different brands, that made me either feel bloated, didn't have enough protein, or where the source was something I'm avoiding. This protein power is great -- it mixes smooth, the container is always full, the chocolate taste is perfect (not too strong, not too weak), and it never upsets my stomach. Sometimes I throw in a bit of microground coffee in with this power and some almond milk. It comes out perfect. If this brand ever stops or becomes difficult to get, I'll be super sad.

ONE of the best TWO protein supplements in the market!
For me, when it comes to whey supplements, quality is more important than price. I've tried several high-quality brands including: (1) Raw Organic Whey, (2) Opportuniteas Grass-fed Whey Protein Isolate, (3) Antler Farm Whey Isolate, and (4) Naked Whey. Ultimately, I've decided that I will be using two protein products going forward: one chocolate flavored (for quick mix with water after workout) and one unflavored (for smoothies, where I can add my own fruits and flavoring with almond milk, coconut water, etc). As far as chocolate flavored protein powder goes, NOTHING comes close to Bluebonnet. First off, the amino profile looks great (good ratio of BCAA). The protein content ratio is very good (for flavored products 26g of protein in a 33g scoop is perfectly respectable). Low sugar. Ingredient list looks clean - no junk. But where Bluebonnet really shines is the taste and solubility. It doesn't taste chalky (which many other chocolate flavored proteins do). As for my unflavored protein choice, I will not discuss that here as it is not relevant to this product being reviewed. Hint: it's one of the 4 brands listed above.

Very Good. Highly recommend!
I’ve been drinking this for years. It tastes good and is much healthier than other brands. It works with water or milk. I use almond milk and add some ice cubes. Delicious! I definitely feel better drinking this stuff.

I can digest this!!
I have been lactose intolerant sine my mid 20's, I am 45 and have been taking plant protein powders forever. I have always heard that whey is superior to plant powders but couldn't take it due to digestive issues. Then I came across info that told me whey isolate usually has most of it's lactose removed naturally from processing. Why have I not heard this before? Anyway, I decided to try some isolates out but would not settle for anything less than grass-fed, non gmo with minimal additives if any at all. I came across this and gave it a try. It has been wonderful, in my opinion it mixes easily, tastes ok, typical whey pro powder taste, and best of all, I can digest it. I have also started taking Iconic Protein Powder and have had the same results with that. I am now on my second order of both of these. I will say at first, and sometime still at random, I notice a little bit of gas which I attribute to these products, but it is minimal and sometimes not present at all. It is so minimal that I really don't even care about it as it is not bothersome, not like drinking a pure glass of milk, If I did that, God help whoever is standing next to me in an elevator an hour later lol...but from what I understand, not all lactose can be removed in the whey isolate creation process so this is understandable. Since beginning taking both of these powders two or three times a day I have started making some gains so I feel great about that, although I have also started taking dextrose powders with these in my protein shakes right after workouts which is supposed to help drive the shake into your muscles better, seems to be working for me. For those interested, right after a workout I take one or two scoops of these powders, about 1/2 serving dextrose, about 30g carbs according to label, (you can also use glucose powders), and some creatine, 3-5 grams, and i really feel it gets in me. Hope this review helps I will def be continuing this product and also Iconic Protein Powder. I will be submitting this same review for the Iconic Protein Powder so if you read them both and it sounds identical that's because it mostly is--cheers.

Solid
Not the best tasting protein I've had but in no means a terrible tasting protein. I put it in yogurt and make protein shakes and it tastes fine. I like that it has no extra and unnecessary ingredients so its definitely a good option for the all-natural type of person. Its a large amount of protein and the price is decent for it. I'll continue to buy it and plan on trying the other flavors (strawberry and vanilla). All-in-all a solid product I plan on continuing to use.

Leaves me feeling good, no allergans
I bought several whey protein isolates in smaller amounts to try them all out. I have food sensitivities, and soy is one of those, even soy lecithin, which is in a lot of whey protein isolate shakes. Bluebonnet Whey Protein Isolate uses sunflower lecithin. There are no "red flag" ingredients in this such as acesulfame potassium aka Acesulfame-K (an artificial sweetener, a potassium salt containing methylene chloride, a known carcinogen), soy, or any of the gums like guar gum, or carrageenan (these ingredients may or may not bother anyone else). It also is not protein "spiked." Look that one up to find out more about it. It is clean and pure and I really like it. It makes me feel good when I use it. Whey protein isolate was recommended to me by my health care practitioner. This is the best whey protein isolate I have found. I mix it with my homemade yogurt and water and ice in my smoothie maker. I also mix it with cold water alone in a shaker cup. It mixes well like that. I've started getting some organic coconut milk, just a quarter cup per serving mixed with cold water, and it mixes well like that, too. I find it to be tasty in any of those ways.

My favorite protein powder ever
This is my favorite protein powder. Great for those who are lactose intolerant since the whey isolate has very little if any lactose. I have problems with artificial sweetners causing headaches and severely upset stomach and this doesn't cause any issues. - It's a super clean protein and only has 3 ingredients. - It tastes really good and I use it for baking healthy versions of treats like muffins and brownies as well as putting in smoothies. Add this powder to a plain nonfat greek yogurt with a little bit of fresh fruit (raspberries are my favorite) and put in the freezer for 15 minutes or so and it tastes like ice cream! I have this in all 3 flavors. - Don't let the cost steer you away---It's about twice the cost of other powders with regular whey isolate but it comes from non-RBH hormone treated cows. - I'm a fitness fanatic but have recommended this to friends who are just trying to be healthier and they've thought it's an easy way to get more protein. Great product. Worth the money.

Minimal ingredients and so delicious!
I very much vouch for this protein powder in particular, because its one of the very few that doesn’t have extra unnecessary additives like thickeners that nobody even needs. and the chocolate flavor is very rich and satisfying. Whey isn’t usually good for us and this isolate version takes the cake. If you are craving sweets or just want a meal replacement with a bunch of protein, drink this. I use this as my post workout snack. It’s filling enough! You don’t need all those stupid ingredients you see in most protein powders that are sold in like all of the grocery stores! For people who get bloated easily and have sensitive stomachs, you need this product!! This is the only protein powder I trust and will continue to buy.
