I got this for my wife and her golf friends to use. They didn't think it would work at first but it does and they love it. I wouldn't fit on the handle of a putter but I found the right size dowel to stick it on and it works well. Great price.

One of the things I used to hate most about golfing was the chance, however small, that I might throw out my back as I bent down into the cut to pick up my ball. If you've ever done it, you'll know how how quickly that can ruin a day on the greens. I was looking for something I could use to make my life easier, and this is it. This is a hard rubber construction that retains its shape, but has enough flex to grab your ball with a vengeance. I have not yet had a ball fall out of the cup. The end that fits around your putter is smaller and round. I was able to get it to fit over the oblong end of my putter with a little flex tape to hold it down, though you will be better off if you have a rounded end shaft. This has been a great item for me. My back is easier off and I have a little more peace of mind knowing I'm not going to hurt myself. Highly recommended for anyone who is lazy, injured, or prone to dizziness.

It works fine, but it doesn't fit on all putters as it has a round end and most putters are rectangular on the handle. I was able to "force" it onto mine and it picks up the ball from the cup very well. There can also be a problem with fitting your club in your golf bag with this item on it, if your bag has the individual "holes" for each club.

As a lifelong golfer, this is the best ball retriever on the market. After two back surgeries I found it much easier collecting my ball from the cup by using the retriever. Just heat the rubber retriever up in boiling water and stretch it over your putter handle. All of my golf buddies now use this inexpensive retiever.

the pride sports golf ball pick up was already opened when I received it.. Apparently it had been returned and I know why. I own 22 putters. Out of the 22 that I own, only my old round handle left/right hand Acushnet Titleist and one of my Nike putters were able to fit. None of my Odyssey, Ping, Kelmac, Lamkin, or my Wilson or Winn putter grips worked with it. Even some with round grips didn't work because their head size was larger than this would allow. (it wouldn't slip over the head.) Don't even think about using it with the large Super Stroker Grips. As others have said, It works but needs the right grip.

Great tool if you don't want to bend over every time to pick up the ball.

barely fit the end of my putter, took an almost act of congress to get it on. Once it's on, the hole that it fits in is only about .75 inches deep so it just barely hangs on. Is designed for a round-butt handle only. If it's any other shape, you'll have problems. Fell off in my golf bag after the first pull of the putter out of it. Would not buy this again or recommend it.

I have tried other ball pick-ups; all have broken or bent after moderate use. This looks really sturdy and able to handle the stress of being jammed back in the bag (forcefully after a 3-putt :-) Do not understand all the complaints about not fitting. I've got a somewhat oversized and oblong TaylorMade grip on my Spider. Did have to follow directions. Soak in hot water, really hot water. Just a couple of minutes. Then used a lot of muscle to get it onto the end of the club. And had to hold it in position for a minute or two as it cooled. And, as it cooled and shrunk, it really tightly locked onto the putter grip.

Not fits to my putter grip. No flexibility of fitting. So zero use to me.
