You have to sync it, but there's really nothing to it. Just start your car up so that the Parrot switches on and then on the remote press and hold the green answer button and the play/pause button simultaneously whilst pressing the red cancel button several times.

Works brilliantly.

The old remote was getting intermittent and wouldn't always work as it should particularly when using the scroll wheel. The new one made me realise how bad the original was!!!
