STANLEY 14-442 42 mm PVC Pipe Cutter (Red)

I am using this item for cutting PVC Pipe for my gardening needs like making Plant Supports for Tomato; Brinjal, Chillies et al. I am very satisfied with this item even though in one of the previous reviews it is correctly mentioned that this item does not cut PVC Pipe with precision. But nonetheless it does its job very nicely. And I am not complaining.

Can’t get to open the blades. Requires Herculean strength to find out that the handles are defective. Now that I have lost the packaging can’t even return! Useless product. Don’t buy.

After 5-6 months blade spring got broke and spares not available to replace....

Great clean cut... tried with 3/4” and 1” cpvc pipes... makes very clean and smooth cut and with zero burr or dust... the cut however is not perfectly straight, it becomes slightly at an angle... easy to use once you know how to open the jaws... I had to see YouTube videos to figure out how to open the jaw for using it... basically those for those who don’t know, just pull apart the red handles with a force... try hard until the jaws opens fully... first it seems like the product is defdective but no, put hard force and open it, it works...

It took me quite sometime to figure out how this opens up. It was an issue till I understood the handle needs to be pulled apart before opening this rachet cutter. Great product. No trouble. Reasonably precise cuts are possible.So useful for all home related works.
