After several weeks of usage, I've been generally pleased with the Hykolity LED Flat Panel Lights. The units have a 5yr warranty but I did not realize that until after I wrote my review. Seller refunded my money based solely on my review which to me indicates a very proactive customer service philosophy. Love the lights...and the customer service.... _____________________________________ Bought my firs pair of these in November 2022. Was superbly pleased with them so I bought a second pair and continued to be pleased....First set went into a laundry room that was being updated. Second set went into a workshop/office space. These made bright, useful, pleasing light. We were so happy with these that last month, May 2025, we ordered 2 more to go into our walk-in closet to replace the standard bulb fixtures in that space...excellent...BUT F'N HELL...last week one of the first set started flashing and now has a visible dead spot...about of 1/4 of the fixture appears to be failed or burnt out. So we got 2.5 years out of one of the fixtures in that set, the other is continuing to work normal....Today, one of the second set developed an intermittent flicker. The same thing happened on the first failing unit before the dead spot materialized, so it appears that a second fixture is now in the process of failing....after 2.5 years of service.....so $55 for 2.5 years of service...that's $22 plus the aggravation of installing a new fixture....These would be great if the lasted for years and years as LEDs should, but replacing the fixture ever 2.5 years is kind of a drag......next time, I think I am going to find the equivalent name brand model and give it a try

I bought this panel to install under the overhead cabinets I bought and installed. The cabinets are up high enough (about 6'-6" off the floor) that the panel fits nicely under the 13" deep cabinets. I will soon install a desk under the area to make it a bench for my electronics work. I would have preferred that the panel offer a 5-color option. I know there are some out there, but a trend I see in these color-controllable LED lights these days is that they omit 3500K. I find this odd because when the wife gets involved in choosing the color of the lights, 3500K is a good compromise between 3000K (women) and 4000K (men). But just about all of the vendors blow through 3500K. It's either 3000K, 4000K, or 5000K. I don't get it, but I needed something under there. These Hykolity panels seemed like a good value for the money. Some people reading this review may be familiar with similar panels that Costco was selling a while back with the "Artika" brand. There are quite a few reviews of them on YouTube. The common complaint about them was that the lamp is so long, that the hanger bracket lets the ends of the panel float, causing the panel to sag a bit at the ends. Looking at the Hykolity panel, it appears to be identical to the Artika except that the hanger bracket is wider than the Artika bracket. Other than that, the panels themselves look to be identical. And incidentally, both the Artika and this Hykolity panel LED light are NOT "flush mount." Due to the nature of the mounting scheme, there will always be a gap between the surface you are mounting to and the top of the panel light, about 3/16". If this bothers you, I guess you could nail some trim around the perimeter of the light, although I suspect that the gap provides some degree of air flow to the top side of the light to help cool the panel down from its 50W power dissipation. When I got everything wired up, including a Maxxima slide dimmer (model MEW-DM600A), I found that the dimming control was awful. Flicker, I could tap the slider and the lights badly flickered, unable to set a minimum dim level to the 5% level that Hykolity said can be reached (it was more like 75% minimum brightness with the Maxxima dimmer), and so on. In short, something was not right between the panel and this dimmer. Which is at fault? I have a couple of old dimmers lying around, so I unsnapped my Wago connectors to remove the Maxxima dimmer and patched in a Cloudy Bay dimmer (model CBLD001WH). Same result: the panel and dimmer did not like each other. I then got out my last junk box dimmer, an old Leviton SureSlide (Model 6672-1LW) and patched it in. This time, it works. No more flicker or jumping around. Success! The only drawback to the Leviton SureSlide dimmer is that there is no "trim" control for the minimum light. The minimum setting does NOT go to zero as Leviton says it will. However, it goes low enough that I am quite happy with it. If I want the light to go completely off, isn't that what the switch is for? The panel puts out a lot of light over my desk area, and I can smoothly control the level with the Leviton dimmer. The 3 colors choices demonstrate to my eye why 5000K is a better color choice if you are concerned about color in your environment. Both the 3000K and 4000K make my light gray walls look yellow and brown, respectively, while the 5000K setting shows the walls to be gray.

Love these panels, but maybe expect to get one year out of them. They were $30 each when I bought them. I have been using two in my office for 13 months until yesterday one of the panels died. The panels seem to have four banks of LEDs as two of the four rectangular portions died first and then all of them. I bought the 4-pack so that I had spares. The newly installed third panel looks great and I can't tell the difference between this newly installed one and the other 13 month old one. Also, after 13 months I can't see any yellowing like I did with the Costco ones (Arika?), but they lasted about 4 years before the yellowing got me to replace them. The old ones would be fine in the garage.

Do Not Buy!!! We purchased these lights 5/17/25 to replace the same lights that we ordered 5/31/22 which started flickering within months, sections burned out and eventually burned out completely. I reached out to the manufacturer for advice and a possible fix and never heard from them. We reordered the same lights 5/17/25 to replace the faulty lights. One end of the box was smashed upon arrival but the lights appeared intact inside and we couldn’t test them without wiring them in. We weren’t able to get them installed until August. First light installed worked perfect. The second light doesn’t light up correctly (See photo). I reached out to the manufacturer for assistance…they said contact Amazon. Amazon says contact manufacturer! So disappointing to get the runaround!!! DO NOT BUY! I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY!!!

I Like that you can flip a switch and change the color from warm, medium or cool light. The night light option is cool as well! I dont have mine hooked to a dimmer but you can add one, but this thing lights up my kitchen like WOW! Nice and bright and we like the middle setting, not too warm, not too white, just right in the middle. And I was so not aware that this came as a 2 pack! Wow, I have another one to use somewhere else! or give to someone. Very reasonably priced.

I purchased a two pack of these lights in 2022 and installed one in the kitchen and another in the walk in MBR closet. The kitchen light is going steady with lots of cycles and plenty of on-time with no issues to date. The closet light had about a third of its section fail/flicker and intermittently work within the warranty year. The OEM refunded half the cost of the pair of lights because they were out of stock to send a replacement. Now in May 2024, that closet light is totally bonkers, flashing on and off repeatedly, so I am ordering another set just for simplicity of not having to reinstall the mount in hopes one of the two lights will be as reliable as the kitchen light. In reading reviews, reliablity is clearly an issue with these lights. **5/16/24 Update: In an attempt to simply replace the fixture, I ordered another set of lights, only to discover, on delivery, the lights have been totally redesigned. They are much lighter, and the housing is aluminum vs. plastic. The mount is totally different, and much smaller than the 2022 version, with a totally different hold pattern so my plan didn't work. The Color switch on the side of the light is NOT functional...it looks like it should slide to different settings, but it does not and the black switch is very flimsy. Afraid to exert too much force in fear of creating a larger issue. The light works well, for now, but time will tell if it lasts. I'm keeping the second panel as a spare based on previous experience.

Most important: these are very nicely designed, robustly-made, and elegant fixtures. The light is bright, and the nightlight feature is a nice touch. I've installed dozens of other flat-panel LED fixtures over the years in laundry rooms, closets, and garages, and these are -- by far -- my favorite. The price premium is worth it. That said, I'd suggest that the manufacturer use strong clips for the installation wires (which suspend the fixture so that the wiring connections can be made without a helper). They're sufficiently strong to hold the unit -- but only if you don't bump it with your hands. Otherwise, they'll fail, causing the unit to fall on one side. Fortunately, despite installing four of these fixtures in our garage, that only happened once, and I caught the unit before it crashed to the ground of banged up the ceiling.
