Excellent Cycling Shoes
In a world where clipless pedals dominate the scene, it's becoming increasingly more difficult to find quality cycling shoes that don't clip to the pedals. I found these after a few hours of research and they fit great! I love how they placed rubber near the toes and on the sides where contact with pedals often occurs when getting on/off a bicycle. I use these in conjunction with platform pedals on my Trek mountain bike. I've actually installed toe clips on those pedals and have had not problems getting in and out with these shoes. These shoes are significantly wider towards the toes and all over than clipless cycling shoes. I love these shoes but wish that they made a pair just like clipless shoes with velcro instead of laces. I haven't had any problems with the laces on these shoes but prefer velcro on cycling shoes. These shoes are comfortable to walk in, while not on a bicycle too.

I loved the color scheme of the shoes and just the way they looked. I used these primarily as casual shoes as I didn't wanted something for my wide feet and low profile and they fit the bill perfectly. After about a week or so the rubber stripping in the front toe box was peeling away from the sole of the shoe itself. Within 3 months the lacing holding the stealth rubber to the front toe box was coming un-done.This was all from just typical walking, nothing extensive or even riding my bike. I ended up deciding to use these on my ride and they felt pretty good but the stealth rubber on the heel came un-done.I enjoyed my other 5.10s and never had this much of a durability issue before but this one caught me as a surprise, I'm a little saddened :(

Wide Feet+Five Ten= Great!
Like all Five Ten shoes, order a half size up- totally great- I am an aging biker with big and wide feet and every attempt to find some kind of road solution has been misery. These shoes (and the other Five Ten options) are like a blessing from the bike gods- sticky as hell and comfortable as a spa- I only wish I had found them earlier...

If you ride flat pedals, you can't beat a Five Ten.
I have found Five Tens tend to run a half size smaller than other shoe brands I buy, so I took that into account. The fit is fine, and the soles of these guys are perfect for flat pedals. They are much easier to clean than the Five Tens I've owned with cloth outlets.

I use these up for winter riding (singletrack and downhill), they work great and keep my feet fairly dry (better than the standard Freeriders). I also sometimes use some Outdoor Research gaitors to keep my socks dry during wet/rainy days. These shoes are somewhat insulated, but for sub 40 temps you will probably want to double up socks or do the plastic baggie trick...

A+++
I ride xc trail 3 times a week so I'm a pretty experienced rider. I went clip less pedals for 3 months and after buying these shoes I strongly regret it. Going clip less made me less confident and made me choke up on big obstacles due to the fear of not being able to clip out. These shoes from 510 gave me all my confidence back and then more. I have the confidence that I can release from the pedal at any time but at the same time my feet stay glued to the pedals if I want them to. I wish I tried these shoes years ago no regrets on purchase. If you are thinking about it go for it you won't regret it. They are comfortable, water resistant, and the rubber grips like no other bike shoe I've worn before. A+++ 100 percent satisfied! I just want 2 pairs now another color maybe in the future

Great shoes!
Love these shoes. I ride pretty technical trails and went from a clipless pedal/shoe combo to flat pedals and these Freerider shoes. I've seen a HUGE improvement in my overall skill level and haven't noticed any loss in pedal efficiency on all-mountain style trails.I do still use my clipless pedal/shoe combo when I know I'll be doing longer / steeper / less technical rides. More cross-county style trails.Shoes have held up great for the first 200 miles I've worn them. Will definitely order another pair when these wear out, which I don't think will be any time soon.

Great Shoes and Sole Modifications on the Freerider VXI to make a smooth area where the Pedal rides provide a very secure and extremely NON-SLIP surface. Rode three days with them and they are comfortable and very stable. They feel more sticky than my old Five Ten SpirtFires Shoes. Both are just perfect for riding without Clip or Clipless pedals and shoes.
