Excellent Plant Cover
This product worked perfectly to fit our gardenia shrub and protect it from the freezing cold earlier this year. It was easy to use, the material is made of good quality fabric and thick enough to hold in the heat and keep the plant from being damaged There are many sizes offered, and I would definitely order this product again for other plants when needed.

So Far So Good . . . .
Winter is not over, but we are having such a mild one that I decided to write a review early. I'm using this to protect a pink Kalanchoe plant on a semi-protected front porch. What started off as a little dried out Bonnie plant is now a huge, wide plant, in a very heavy glass pot against a brick wall on the front of the porch. A dolly would be needed to move it inside for the winter, and I feared the leaves would get damaged if it was moved up the stairs. It gets lots of morning sunlight, and is hit with wind and some rain at times. (There's only been snow once and it didn't blow in the direction of the porch.)Throughout the winter, we have had some nights in the 20s and days in the 30s, but, once again, it's been a pretty mild winter, with more than a few days in the 60s. I put on and take off this frost blanket as needed, and the plant is doing extremely well. It looks like it has flower buds now, too. The Agfabric material is very thin and lightweight, plus has a string you can tighten it with. I'm quite happy with it, especially since I'm not much of a plant person, and had no idea if it would work or not. I got the Kalanchoe from someone who had it inside, unintentionally let it dry out, and was going to throw it away. Being put outside with the summer sun and enough water did wonders for it!

Size discrepancy
I have used this brand for both frost protection and small hail protection. Many years ago they had a double drawstring so you could draw it close from both sides which was faster and easier than how they are being made now with just being able to draw from one side. It is harder to snug up when you are covering a larger item. That being said, I’m still buying them. I covered a newly planted yew and left it on all winter. We are at 6280 ft elevation in Colorado. The yew did great. I used a small plant support frame to keep snow from directly sitting on the cover weighing down the plant. We had many nights below zero. My 4 star rating comes from the sizing discrepancy between the pkg label and the cover. The pkg was labeled 39” x 39”. In reality the cover was closer to 60” in diameter which made it way too big for an urn. I exchanged it thinking the pkg was mislabeled but had the same issue. I’m wondering if there has been a batch of covers getting mislabeled from the manufacturer or supplier. I’ve not had this issue before.

Works great
Kept my plants protected during a recent cold snap that brought frigid temps several days in a row. Easy to use. Recommended.

Nice covers. Stitching came apart
These are decent covers and they accomplished the job but the stitched pocket that holds the drawstring in is very weak. It ripped right away while trying to tighten the draw string. Not a huge deal but with a good wind, the cover definitely does not stay put without the bottom string tightend down.

Protected my plants from an early frost
This fabric was easy to use and it protected my plants from an early frost. I also like that it can be reused and cut to any size you may need.

Do Not Recommend
Bought 4. Zippers kept splitting while trying to put them on. Wasn't putting pressure on them, so no reason for them to split. Stitching around the zippers seemed like it would easily rip if it had a little bit of stress put on it. Strings are slippery and the clip for them is very loose, so the tie does not stay tight. Strings slide right out.Had them on about 18 hours before a strong gust of wind caught one and ripped my smallest tree down. Was tight at the bottom when I put it on, but pulled loose easily. Wind was catching them all at the bottom from the strings not staying tight and turning them into giant wind socks. Zipper split on one overnight. Lots of damage to the branches from the wind blowing up into them and pulling. Only keeping them because the fabric seems like a good quality so I can use it for row covers in the garden.Wind speed for the time this was happening was in the teens. I'd recommend these for the fabric quality, but go with the ones that don't have a zipper, and plan to use something other than the tie provided to secure the bottom.
