super práctico, los utilizo para mi disco duro de estado sólido que es una unidad externa, sin embargo, lo utilizo tambien para formatear discos duros internos de PC's que poseen la misma cantidad de pines y además se puede utilizar para clonar discos duros y tenerlos de respaldo

works well but right angle reduces flexibility
I use this with a laptop DVD drive to reduce the clutter around the computer. I works well but the short cable and the right angle restrict where the DVD drive can be placed

it works!
I took out CR ROM drive from my broken TOSHIBA laptop and connected to my desktop using this cable adapter. it works! Now I have two external CD ROM drives!

DISALLOWS/PREVENTS UHD FW FLASHING AND/OR UHD FUNCTIONALITY ALTOGETHER!
Whatever ASIC is doing the SATA/USB arbitration w/in the adapter, it's not allowing full access to the attached SATA device. The attached device presents itself as "generic". This prohibits useful things like libredrive, and makemkv, from detecting a viable MediaTek MT1959 chipset and doing the needful to allow a) flashing UHD enabling firmware and/or b) patching so-enabled fw to allow for the _archival_ _backup_ of UHD bluray media.So, if that was your aim here, as it was mine, this adapter is worthless. Also of note, regardless of the images/renders it's the same adapter as https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CY27HL7M; avoid that one also.

External power needed for stability.
Three stars because it totally depends on power from the USB port. Some computers are lacking in USB power causing this device to be unstable. This device should get five stars. Purchase a device like this only if it can provide external power.

Worked Great to transfer off my old HP Micro SATA drive to new pc after motherboard died
Worked great on my old laptop Micro SATA drive, I attached to my working computer via usb and was able to copy off all the files I needed!

Works in ubuntu
Used this on external Blu Ray drive with bad connector. Used the same Initio chipset as the drive circuit. Could be a little longer but saved me buying another strong for $50+
