Comedy Masterpiece!
For me, it's a tie between "Wrongfully Accused" and "Spy Hard" for the funniest movie of all time! The gags are delivered continuously, one parody after another, as well as some great one-liners!The film is based primarily on "The Fugitive," where the main character's name is "Jack Ryan" played by Harrison Ford. In this movie, the main character's name is "Ryan Harrison."I would recommend first watching some classic movies in the wrongfully-accused/thriller plot category, such as "The Fugitive," "Mission Impossible," and "North By Northwest." Other major parodies of classic movies are in the film, too, such as parodies of "Casa Blanca," "Titanic," and "Braveheart" to name just a few. There are also a lot of pop culture references that will be instantly recognizable if you lived during the 1990s, ranging from Lambchop to the River Dance craze that swept the nation. If you are too young or oblivious to the things this comedy parodies, you won't fully enjoy it.The comedic gags are very much in the camp of absurd and stupid-yet-clever. If you like the old Loony Tunes cartoons, you're sure to love the humor in this film. The adult humor/jokes are kept subtle enough that children (hopefully) won't pick up on them. I know those jokes went over my head when I saw this movie in theaters, but are pretty obvious to me now.I've bought this movie many times now, first the several times I saw it in theaters as a kid, then bought the VHS, then the DVD (still have it after 15 years), and now I'm tickled pink to see it included with Prime for streaming! You can't go wrong with watching this movie, unless there's something dreadfully wrong with your sense of humor.

FUNNY!
I had been watching a lot of true crime shows and realized I needed a fun movie so I ordered this one. I love Leslie Neilson anyway, but this made me laugh out loud in the first minute of watching. Just the tonic I needed! Loved it. Corny, but perfect!

fun as always
Very much like what you would expect from this class of films. Loads of gags, some of them clever, some just duds. But you will certainly find something to make you smile and even laugh. Lots and lots of references to other films, which are fun to watch for. You always know what you are getting with these films, so you either like them or you don’t.

Another Neilsen Hit
I've been a fan of Leslie Neilsen ever since I saw Airplane back in 1980. I actually remember him from his drama acting, so found his comic side a delightful surprise. In this case, the movie parodies so many movies from the mid 90s, I couldn't keep up. There's the usual Neilsen non-sequitur dry monologues as well as the quirky love affair that is in the Naked Gun series. There is also some really juvenile humor, but that's to be expected. Still, overall, this is a great spoof and Leslie is as enjoyable as ever!

Nielsen Was A True Original
Hard to believe but I remember where I was when I first saw "Wrongfully Accused". I was on a return flight from the U.K. after atteding my brother's wedding. I was feeling a little blue probably a combination of the English weather and being single at that time. The first offering was a Morecombe and Wise Christmas special from 1977 which was pretty funny. This flick followed and it was the cure for the ills that troubled me. A lot of people label this as a guilty pleasure. For sure there is a certain level of lowbrow humor on hand but there's a lot of sophistication, too. A good example would be a clever parody of "The Usual Suspects" that takes place in a bait and tackle shop. Believe it or not there are also send-ups to "Braveheart" and "Titanic"(!). None of this would work without the comic deadpan mastery of star Leslie Nielsen. If Nielsen didn't believe in this material the whole enterprise would fall flat. "Wrongfully Accused" stands with Nielsen's "Naked Gun" parodies as some of his funniest work on screen.

Has it's moments, but rather mid
I feel like after the first couple of Naked Gun movies, these Leslie Nielson comedies just started winging it, with minimal scripts and a lack of direction. Just a lot of other movie references, and jokes that are based on pop culture and media of the time, which age poorly. Still, I can't say I didn't laugh, even if I cringed about the same amount. I really liked the cast - I just wish they had a better film.

5 Star for what it is
Go elsewhere if you want to watch something serious. There are quite a few parodies to other movie, and some big names appear here. This movie is silly, and definitely a must watch for fans of Leslie Nielson- God rest his soul.
