CicaSolution Scar Reducing Treatment 75gram and 16gram

First time using this version of the product in replacement of the strips. Application is very easy and painless if you're using it on surgical scars. I had FTM double incision top surgery. I'm a little over 6 weeks post op and the application is not painful at all. It's not super thick or sticky so it doesn't make a mess or stain t-shirts. Cica strips have worked amazingly for me, but I thought I'd use this version since my surgical scars are extremely long and on my torso. The strips tend to wrinkle up since the incisions are on a weird crevice like area. So far I do like it. I apply it 2x a day as directed, but I will update the effects of it as time progresses within the next couple of weeks/months.

I try to keep more then one of the Sticks around as I use them for a multitude of purposes, including , but not limited to,; scar treatment, stretch mark treatment, lip treatment, heel / foot treatment, knee / elbow treatment & hollows / dark circles . The company itself is amazing, friendly, professional and provides top-notch customer service. The sticks are very convenient & easy to use . They are a great value for your money’s worth . I will be purchasing again & I look forward to trying some of the newer products / formulations .

Over the years, I've used many (at least 6 different brands) of scar treatment remedies before finding this one, and this by far works better than anything else out there. I love that it glides on quickly has no odor, and doesn't leave a sticky residue or tacky feel on my skin like other scar treatment have in the past. The doctor highly recommended that I use bioCornium to treat a resulting scar from a proceedure, so I had used that on the surgical scar with very little success. About the only upside of te bioCornium is that it contains a sunscreen in it which the CicaSolution does not. However, unless the scar is in an area that will be exposed to sunlight that's really not a consideration. After a recent surgery a few months ago left me with a new, 6" ugly scar down the middle of my abdomen, I thought I'd try something different this go round since the bioCornium brought little to no results. The CicaSolution being in a stick was intriguing & the price was less than 1/2 of the bioCornium so I gave it shot. Boy was I surprised to find that the CicaSolution worked much better and showed results way faster than the more expensive bioCornium. But most surprising was that the CicaSolution even worked on 30 old scars on my knees and elbows left over from childhood. It has no oder and the stick delivery system and size make it a more portable option for use while traveling. And it's much quicker to use becuase I don't have to wait for it to rub in and be absorbed by the area being treated. I found that it smoothed down and lightened the keloid scars and the flat scars are now almost invisible on my skin. And it worked even on scars so dark in discoloration that the scars looked like a dark purple/black bruise but they had been there for at least the last 10 years an were actually scars. Nothing I tried in the past worked on the scars at all, but after just 2 months of using CicaSolution once day on them, those dark scars are complete gone now and the skin where they were has returned to my normal skin tone. Honestly, I can't really see a difference after using this for several weeks, but whose to say that I just don't see it because I'm around it every day. What I should have done was taken a picture before starting and then one every 7 days or so to see if there is a noticeable change. Since I didn't, I'm going to say 3 stars since my scars are healing and they aren't getting worse =). I'll update and change the review if I do notice changes.I will say this is so much easier to put on than the tape. The tape is easy to put on, but a pain in the arse to take off, clean and dry out and then reapply. This stuff you just glide on after a shower and then reapply. No muss, no fuss.

This stuff is friggin’ amazing. It actually works...especially on newer scars, however, I have even seen improvement on my old scars.

This stuff has helped my surgery scars immensely. I love this brand and how easy it is to use. It's especially soothing on my scars that are only 6 months. I used this even 2 weeks after my top surgery and it was gentle. This actually showed up earlier than I thought and I was so glad since I just run out of my previous tube.

I suppose this would be easier to apply if one waves a hairdryer over it for a few seconds. After trying several different delivery methods for medical quality silicone, I settled for one that is a plain squeeze tube. Much cheaper per ounce and very easy to apply.

I got this gel and another item on Amazon, Mepitac Silicone Tape, to help diminish scars from a recent brachioplasty. I put on the scar glide and cover the area with the tape so that the gel doesn't rub off easily, get on things, etc.. As such, I cannot say which of the two, if not both, is most effective but I can say that the combination of the two has been great. I can see noticeable reduction in scar redness using this combination.
