GOHIDE Tapered Wooden Stopper,Natural Wine Corks,Wood Bottle Stopper (20pcs/Lot)

I use these as canteen corks for Civil War reenacting. I have to shorten the cork a little, but they accept a drilled hole through the center and hold the contents of the canteen inside without breaking up or falling into the canteen. I am pleased.

We bought these to re-cork open bottles of Chimay Ale, which is Belgian ale brewed by the Monks in Hainaut, Belgium, an expensive brew. We had tried the metal/rubber stoppers but the ale was blowing them out of the bottles. These natural stoppers work much better, and keep the ale fresh for a few days! There are (at least) two sizes, so measure your bottle prior to purchase. Basic, not frilly, effective & therefore recommended.
