easy to use for gray coverage (black)
HiI have used this product once -- It was very easy to use, far less messy than the Clairol root touch up, and this product worked very well for me. I have black hair (I'm Indian) with brown highlights and had about an inch of gray coming in. I couldn't get an appt with the pandemic and resorted to this (I've NEVER used a box color on my hair, only let my salon colorist touch my hair). This worked well, covered my gray, and it's been two weeks and it's still covered. The color is a bit dark, I wish it was a softer black, but it doesn't look unnatural, it didn't smell too bad, and it was very easy to use. I like that I can use it up to three times. One caution is to not leave it on too long. 5-7 minutes is all you need, and I have very stubborn grays. This is permanent and has the ammonia, but as I was doing my roots and was desperate for root coverage, I took the chance and am glad I did. I plan on using this again as my gray grows out if my salon is still closed due to COVID-10 SIP orders.

Quick and Easy At-Home Root Touch-Up
Revlon Permanent Hair Color, specifically the At-Home Root Erase with Applicator Brush, is a lifesaver! The applicator brush makes it super easy to target roots precisely, and the formula blends seamlessly with my existing color. The process is quick and mess-free, perfect for touch-ups between salon visits. The color is vibrant and long-lasting, and it covers grays effectively. Plus, the product is gentle on my hair and doesn’t leave it feeling dry or damaged. Overall, this is a convenient and reliable option for maintaining color at home!

This stuff is no joke!
This is about the easiest and longest lasting root touch up I have ever used. I'm a fan. A couple of lessons-learned to share, though.1. This stuff is no joke. When they say five minute processing time, they mean it. The first time I did it I worked front to back and then let it sit for a few minutes over the five minute processing time and my roots we shockingly dark. I recommend working from the back of your head to the front so that the most visible roots get less processing time. Then once you are done "painting" stick to the recommended five minute processing and rinse. There's no need to allow extra time with this product.2. Use the petroleum jelly around your hairline as recommended. Again, this stuff is no joke. (If you do get it on your skin, I found alcohol on a makeup pad takes it off, but it takes some scrubbing.)3. I would say this stuff is a little more intense than most. I used the medium auburn reddish brown and even with a brief processing time, it's pretty dark. For sure darker than indicated on the box.If you know these things going in and can plan for it, it's a great covering, long lasting product. And so, so easy to use. Love the pump, love the brush, live that it's multiple uses. Great to extend the length of time between salon appointments.

Very easy, cost effective way to dye all of your roots
Pictures 1-3 afterPicture 4 beforeI forgot to take a before pic but you can kinda see how light my hair is in the one I did have.I bought this product to dye all of my roots, not just the “visible” ones. I have bleached and dyed my hair all sorts of fun colors at home before, but never just my roots or a typical “natural” color before from a box dye. I would say this dye did the job and I really enjoyed the ease of use, not having to mix the color and developer separately. I also like that I can use the left over dye because it only dispenses what you need. If you have never dyed your hair before you may have some trouble getting all of your roots by yourself, however someone inexperienced could help you easily. If you’re just dyeing your visible roots, it doesn’t get much easier than this! I was worried I may miss a few pieces of hair but honestly cannot find anywhere on my head that didn’t get dyed. For your reference:-I have thick, fluffy, semi coarse hair and I didn’t even use the whole bottle. Again, I dyed ALL my roots.-my natural hair color is dark strawberry blonde/light brown. Can’t say how well it’ll work for grays-the color is darker than is advertised. I would say it’s closer to VERY dark brown/espresso to almost black. It would have matched my original hair color if that was not faded. My roots just appear slightly darker though, which is fine with me.-can’t comment on the longevity because I only did this last night. If it appears to fade easily I will update this review.-very mess free! I didn’t get a drop of it on my bathroom counter or walls and it didn’t seem to “stick” to the gloves like some other dyes do-it will dye your skin easily and is harder to get it out the longer it sits-some parts had dye for 40ish minutes, some for only 10, I haven’t noticed a difference in their appearanceOverall I highly recommend this hair dye. It really is the easiest way to dye your roots. Also LOVE the price - looks the same as if I had gone to a salon
