Q: Can someone please compare this saw to silky? 270-33 zubat professional hand saw, 330mm, large teeth $59.99. the silkys are great but can bend.

I have used both. I would say the silky zubat stays sharper for longer. Though I like that Samuel Ichiban does not bend when cutting.

Q: What is its tpi(teeth per inch)? and what is the difference between this ichiban and the samurai ichigeki(also 13in)?

The biggest difference is the Ichiban has a tapered blade while the Ichigeki, also called the Sumo has a straight blade. The Ichiban has a finer tooth pattern at 6.35 per inch while the Sumo is 5.62 per inch. The Sumo is a large, monster saw while the Ichiban will make a finer, smoother cut. We don't sell the Sumo but have the C330LH which is also a heavy duty, non tapered blade saw with 6.35 teeth per inch. Hope this helps.
