SHIMMERING, ROMANTIC, STORYBOOK DOLL
As a very picky doll collector, I can tell you this one will not disappoint. Luckily, there is a picture of her above so you can see how gorgeous she is. I can add that she has three layers to her dress. The bottom layer is the same color purple as her bodice; the next is a light pink, the same shade again as in her bodice; and then the obvious, shimmery pink, opalescent outer layer. Her hair goes all the way down to her feet and it is well made--soft as silk, not like some dolls sold with tangled hair. She comes with a doll stand, certificate of authenticity, and pink shoes.RAPUNZEL stands in front of a tall, purple castle with a blue steeple tower on top. Lush greenery offsets a pale blue sky.On the back of the box, Rapunzel is illustrated high above the tower smiling at her prince below with her hair cascading out the window, down to him. The following is the poem on the box, included with the picture I just described:"Once in a storybook kingdom somewhere, lived a beautiful maiden with long golden hair. High in a tower, this princess did dwell, a prisoner of lies and a witch who cast spells. But the maiden's pure heart held the ultimate power to help her escape from her cold prison tower. And marry her prince whose love filled her with laughter and together they lived happily ever after."RAPUNZEL is a wonderful doll to add to your collection.

Adorable!
Rapunzel is just adorable! When I was a kid, I loved the story of Rapunzel. I must say the story was different from the story Mattel wrote on the back of the box. You see, Rapunzels mother was very ill and to make her feel better, her husband (Rapunzels father) picked certain herbs from the witch next door. The witch got him red handed and she forced him to make a deal with her. In exchange for the herbs, he had to give his firstborn to the witch. The man was so afraid that he agreed. His wife got better and soon after she had a baby: Rapunzel. The witch locked Rapunzel away in a tower with no doors, only a window. Every now and then the witch came to Rapunzel and got up via her long hair. One day, a prince came and heard Rapunzel sing from her tower. He waited and saw how the witch got in. Then he imitated the witch and got up via Rapunzels hair. When Rapunzel saw him she was a little afraid, but they soon fell deeply in love. However, the witch learned of the princes and Rapunzels love-affair and she wanted revenge. The witch cut Rapunzels long hair and hid Rapunzel somewhere else. The prince came to the tower to see Rapunzel, but the witch imitated Rapunzel by hanging the cut-off hair out of the tower. The prince climbed up, but at the top he saw the witches face and instead of the face of Rapunzel. The witch let go of the hair, thus the prince fell down and he went blind. As a blind beggar, the prince searched for Rapunzel. One day he heared singing and it was Rapunzels beautiful voice. When Rapunzel saw her prince she cried because he was now blind, her tears fell ons the eyes of the prince and he started to see again. So Rapunzel and her prince lived happily ever after!Rapunzels dress is very beautiful and has three layers. The first one is purple, the second pink and the thirt is transparant pink. Rapunzels hair is so long it touches the ground.Rapunzel comes with a certificate of authenticity, a two-years limited warranty and a pink dollstand. If you like/collect Barbies and/or fairytale figures, this is a must-have!
