Great book for the practitioner
There is finally on book that integrates biodynamic and functional approaches to working with babies and children, and it adds prenatal and perinatal dynamics including play. As a craniosacral therapist trained in both these cranial approaches and prenatal and perinatal work (Castellino Method), I was very pleased to receive this book. Agustoni carefully lays out an overview of this approach in Part One, including history, purpose and a discussion of how family life has changed in the 21st century. Part Two presents the pre and perinatal period through the lens of a cranial practitioner. He gives special consideration to the birth process. Part Three defines elements, assessments and practice. In this section he provides detailed approaches to therapeutic choices, and there are many pictures. Part Four offers discussions and pointers for specific conditions. The language Agustoni uses is familiar to the cranial and the PPN practitioner. He cautions practitioners around intention, especially emphasizing the neutral. His description around the importance of presence is uplifting and also familiar to anyone understanding attachment and attunement. His way of describing the completion of incomplete sequencing as “rounding off” is simple and grounded, which is the basic tone for this volume. He provides many pictures of working with babies especially. He also discussed the importance of open questions, dialog and communication. He details how to do an intake for children with parents. I especially liked how he started with the question: What is working for your child or baby? I find his approach strength and resource based, well-paced, and grounded with spiritual and theoretical underpinnings regarding perception. He asks series after series of fantastic questions about the work you are doing as a professional, and he provides bullet-pointed steps to help with assessments and treatments of different conditions. His discussion of birth games, different aspects of birth process, and how to work on the table and/or the floor is also very helpful. The nearly 500 page volume is packed with information. I can read and reread sections and get something new each time. This book is something to savor. I highly recommend it for the professional interested in or currently working with children and babies.

Highly recommended
As a medical doctor, I am using craniosacral therapy every day to help pregnant moms, babies, and children. Because this approach is so gentle, it is a wonderful treatment option for babies, as well as pregnant women – if you have specialized training in this field. Daniel Agustoni`s new book helps teaching craniosacral practitioners to become more competent in the field of treating babies and children. He starts with important topics related to conception, pregnancy, and birth from the craniosacral perspective. Then he shares his wealth of knowledge and experience in treating children, mentioning a huge variety of conditions and the craniosacral approach for healing. With 516 pages of text and beautiful photographs, this book is highly recommended for craniosacral therapists wanting to treat children and pregnant families. It also gives great insights for professionals working with pregnancy, birth, and children, and parts of it are even interesting for the curious parent. It will help you to view your child’s challenges in a bigger context and to find solutions toward better health.

I Highy Recommend This Book
One of the most authoritative books I've come across on pediatric cranial sacral therapy. I would highly recommend this book for practitioners in the field as well as for anyone interested in treating children. This book is well-written and extremely easy to grasp. I have read Mr. Agustoni's other books and highly recommend them as well.

authoritative and practical
Daniel Agustoni writes authoritatively and sensitively about a subject he knows well. This is a book for practitioners, rather than lay people, and it provides a comprehensive overview of the techniques, as well as challenges a practitioner may come across in real life situations. Agustoni draws on his vast personal experience rather than just conveying theory, and that alone is worth its weight in gold. This is a truly helpful book that serious students will treasure for its guidance and insights. The previous negative review posted here does not actually review this book, but passes unqualified judgement on a topic and technique the reviewer evidently has no clue about.

Professional book about a very gentle method
Daniel Agustoni's book, which deals with pregnancy, birth, infants and children up to twelve years old, is a reliable guide for craniosacral-therapy for this age group. It is a great guide for all therapists, who want to expand their knowledge and understanding about non-invasive craniosacral-therapy for this age group specifically. The content look on the baby's face at the end of the book speaks for itself.

Beware
You can't be serious. Not only is this a fringe technique with no proven evidence of efficacy, but it can kill infants, e.g., [...] Infant skulls are fragile, and the brain can damaged by forceful massage. How Amazon can publish this without a warning is beyond me.

Craniosacral Therapy for Children
I'm still reading and gleaning information with this book. Good, easy to understand the perspective of cranial rhythm...at least for me...wish I had this book when my kids were young. Although it is never too late for craniosacral therapy.
