Blind spots ? every vehicle has them. It doesn't matter how good or how careful a driver you are, you simply cannot avoid what's in your blind spot unless you see it . . . and now you can! Unlike inferior rounded "fish eye? mirrors, these provide full focus, a greater view, and much more adjustability ? so you can have total side vision while keeping your eyes on the road!

Great safety addition on my toyota camry 2012
I have had many close calls on my toyota camry 2012 car and had been honked and sworn at because I failed to see the car in my blind spot - mostly in the passenger side. My husband had the same view when driving my car. Adding the maxview blind spot mirrors had changed all that. I can finally see the cars in my blind spot. However, on very sunny days, these convex mirrors give off a glare that it is virtually useless for me. We have a lot of sunny days here in northern california. Wish the company can improve on this. It is too new for me to assess if it will rust. Hopefully not. I would have given it 5 stars out of 5 if not for the glare. Overall, it has been an invaluable aid for me to navigate my way around traffic.

worth higher price
Safer because they're adjustable, but a bit expensive.Double-sided tape is very strong, maybe too much - one mistake and you'll need dental floss and razor blade to take them off and reposition them.Distortion is a problem - Radius of Curvature vertical is not the same as horizontal, so cars appear flatter than they are. After a while it's no problem. Adjustability gets rid of the sunlight that most other mirrors reflect into my eyes.If you mount it way in the corner (as shown on the product page here, and I did on my 2005 Prius), and you then use the motor to rotate your mirror inside (for example to help when backing into a tight parking space), it's possible that the external mirror enclosure (the rim of the "cup" in the upper right of the picture shown) could foul the adjustment of these small mirrors. So be careful when you place them on your mirror. But the adjustment angle freedom is a godsend.

Picture As Shown Inaccurate Depiction of Product
The picture of the product is misleading:1) The MaxiView Mirror is much larger than the one shown in the picture. It actually obscures a quarter of the area of the side view mirror. The dimensions are 2.5" x 2" (these dimensions have been omitted from the product description).2) Contrary to the manufacturer's claim, the convex nature of the mirror actually causes quite a bit of distortion, which takes a little getting used to.

Thumbs up
These are great! Perfect for highway/tollway driving. I use them as my primary mirror and the factory mirror for backing up. They cover about 1/4 of the factory mirror. I will buy these for every car I ever own. Excellent quality as well

Works but overpriced...
They work nicely on the driver side mirror although they do take up a lot of room on the mirror and it takes some time to get adjusted to them. I put one on the passengers side mirror but found it pretty much useless as that mirror was already a convex wide angle mirror "things are closer than they appear". I sent for the removal kit from the manufacture and removed the passenger side mirror. The removal tool is three feet of mono filament fishing line that you wrap around the mirrors base and work under the attachment pad, they also send two new pads and some cleaner for about $5.00. The picture is very misleading as to the size of this mirror compared to your "normal sized" side view mirror. This MaxiView mirror takes up much more room than shown in the ad on normal sized side view mirrors. I would advise buying a single mirror for each cars driver side rear view mirrors, they are nicely designed and do increase your safety.UPDATE: These work great in the daylight hours but are useless after dark as the headlights of cars behind you become too small to see in this mirror.

THE TRUTH
I bought a medium size of Maxi View. The truth is this mirror block part of my view. I can see so much better from my SUV mirrors. Objects actually so much closer than its appearance on the Maxi View. Even though you can spot the object in the mirror, it is so tiny that you can easily overlook. This is danagerous!
