Great little vault for your car, travel or home
Bought the vault to hold a Ruger LCP for traveling. Fits perfectly and also holds an additional magazine, knife, money/wallet or papers. Sometime you see the unsafe "gun free" zone poster at businesses, school, or government locations, so this a great alternative so you can secure your weapon in your car and not break the law. Unfortunately, I'm worried every time I put my weapon in the vault when I go to a "gun free" place as the "crazies" know the law and never follow it. They always go on a killing spree in "gun free" zones. I always try not to give my money to businesses that have "gun free" posters. The lock is only a three digit lock and if someone wanted to break into it and had enough time, they could probably crack the combination lock. Still a great vault and you don't have to carry a key. I actually bought two!

Great safe for the price
This is a great little lock box. Adequate room inside for a firearm and possibly some accessories depending on the size (my Glock 19 fits comfortably). The steel cable is a good length and strong. FYI the combination is configurable to your liking, and looks/feels very sturdy.

strong lock box...until the latch fails on you.
good box, seems pretty tough. however...it is kinda small. i keep my sig sp 2022 and 2 mags in it and there is no room for anything else. it is so tight in there that if i keep my sig too close to the locking mechanism its tough to turn the locking switch and number dials. i have to make sure everything is pushed against the rear wall and then it will run smoothly. not a big hassle but kind of annoying. also this thing is heavy when empty. i put in my sig and two mags and i got about ten lbs. of lock box to carry from my car to the house. ten lbs. is not a whole lot but when you got other gear to carry as well its a pain. glad i bought it though.Update...after owning this for about 6 months,, I took my pistol inside the bulldog to the range. when i got there i reached into the passenger side to take my pistol out and the latch was not budging. what happens is if your pistol moves or shifts around while in the lock box it can block the latch from moving essentially trapping your pistol in there. EPIC FAIL. what happens if this occurs during a crisis situation and your are left with nothing but your johnson in your hand. try to picture me like a maniac banging and pounding this stupid box on the cement trying to open it. people walking around must have thought i was a lunatic. to my surprise, it didn't take long for me to open it. the box was destroyed , so was the latch. i thought about buying another one but why waste more money.

it has been perfect. I keep it below my seat in my ...
Works well!I did have to do a little adjusting on the locking mechanism, as it was kind of loose- but that's nothing a little Gorilla glue can't fix! The felt is also not secured properly, but I used old Gorilla Glue on that too. After those changes, it has been perfect. I keep it below my seat in my car at all times, and its easy to carry back inside with me too.I am able to fix my full size Glock 21 Gen 4, and S&W M&P Shield (9mm) in there mags inserted. It is a tight fit, and nothing else would be able to fit in there; but for me, it does the trick.I carry extra mags/accessories in a glock case under my other seat. I don't really see a reason to lock those up.Anyways, this product is just as described, and suits me perfectly.

Great for securing pistols in your home or car
I bought two to keep my pistols locked in my closet. I wanted a combination lock so I did not have to mess with keys. I have a sentry biometric for my home defense weapon which is loaded. I wanted these to keep my glock 26, glock 27 to keep safe from my kids, visitor etc. They are 18 gauge steel which works for home needs and the 3 digit combination is easy to use and good enough to deter family and whoever might be in my closet. The price was fine and peace of mind is great! I have not used it for my car since I already have a lock box for my car in case I need to leave my weapon in my vehicle, I use a sentry portable lock for my car which is bigger heaver and more secure.

Great Buy!
I bought the Bulldog, after a lock failed on a similar type from Cabela's. The lock on Cabela's is in a plastic mount. The mount failed after a few uses. Since I liked the type, I looked for one that had a metal mount. So far, this one from Bulldog has been great! So much so, that I bought a Bulldog lock for Cabela's. It cost me $9.50, including shipping; and, it fits like a glove, with a little persuasion using a rubble hammer.

Convenient and easy to set up the combo
Convenient and easy to set up the combo. Cable is nice to strap to a desk. Also has holes you can bolt to a shelf or whatever. Nice sturdy quick access safe for multiple purposes.

gun safe not safe for storing gun
bought set of two, used for first time went on vacation. set lock code and tested was ok put gun in unit locked. Used second unit also with my other gun. Return from vacation wanted to remove gun would no unlock the other box had no issues. Checked combo was correct. After messing with box pulled on covered with little force and unit opened. Found lock mechanism broken metal clasp and plastic keeper in box. If you want to secure your weapons purchase something a little bit more money this is not quality merchandise. You might use it to put a water pistol in.
