Q: Does it shut off at certain temp or it is an always on heater?

My heater turns on and off again. I suppose it does have a thermal shut off when the tank gets to warm for a betta fish. I’ve been checking the temperature of the tank frequently and it will go from warm to cold sometimes. Thought the tank was supposed to be warm all the time.

Q: Water still feels cold how can I tell if this is on and working?

It takes mine a good 10-15 hours before it makes any noticeable change on the water temp

I have been using this heater on my 1 gal Betta tank for a few months and it has been fine.
