Easy way to trim nails.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I had been using a regular Dremel on my 5 rescue dogs - until it finally met its demise. I had already looked into the Dremel PawControl when the old one was failing. This Dremel has less power so it doesn't heat up their nails nearly as fast, it's much quieter & cordless. This makes trimming their nails monthly much easier - the quieter motor noise is less stressful, so is the cooler process, and no cord makes my life so much easier. It does a great job trimming their nails quickly with little to no stress and injury to the dogs. The Dremel is well used now, please ignore the nail dust on the machine. Highly recommend!

1st one lasted me 4 years. Better than the "Dremel 7350-PET 4V" model. Groomer approved!
I'm a groomer. I ordered my first one back in June 2020. I've used this model on several dogs and have 2 of my own that I have also used it on weekly for 4 years. It finally broke down after I dropped it on the concrete of our patio as I prepared to do my dogs' nails. Otherwise, I'm sure it would've lasted me another year or so. I ordered a new one this week. Hopefully, it holds up like my old one.Compared to Dremel 7350-PET 4V this one:* has a much stronger motor* better grip design* more durable and heavy duty* and feels a lot more better quality* It is heavier that the 7350, thoughPros:* Easy grip design* Powerful motor* Heavy duty* Durable* Can withstand a lot* Quieter than most pet nail grinder models* Can sand down all dog nails sizes closer to the quick without hitting the quick* Leaves nails smoother than nail clippers (I use off-brand 120 grit sand bands)* No overheating of motor noticed* Portable* Good battery chargeCons:* Gets louder as you increase the speed (no idea how they would fix this without sacrificing power)* Sand bands heat up as you leave them on the nail ( I use stroking motion to prevent)* Fur and hair can get caught in the mandrel attachment (just be careful and move it)* You have to train dogs to be ok with vibration and sound of machine. (once it's done it's easy)* The attachment release button is very easy to press while using, which can be a little dangerous if the drill bit is released while working on a dog.Overall, a great product for any pet owners and groomers. I only use the mandrel attachment and sand bands. I order some similar sized "Merryland Drum Sander" brand 120 grit sand bands for a smoother finish because the Dremel brand sand bands are expensive and I switch each one between dogs, unless they're from the same household. Buy it. Sure, it's pricey, but you save yourself money on the long run. Especially in this economy. Here are some links for those who want to learn how to use it and/or train their dogs to be ok with foot handling and nail grinder sounds. McCann Dog Training Videos are very informational on YouTube:* How to use the Dremel around on a dog's nails(see how she holds the Dremel and how she strokes as she grinds):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3hepjtT7og* How to train your dog to allow you to hold their paws and toes (long detailed video):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-w0T-50kfHI&t=12s* How to train your dog to be ok with the nail grinder sound and sensation(long detailed video):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBKni77UfsQ&t=19sBe sure to stabilize your dogs toe as you grind the nail because the toe can vibrate and you can harm your dog accidentally. Dedicate 5 minutes a day to just have your dog used to you holding their paws, the sound, and the presence of the Dremel and it'll be so easy for you.

Order extra parts!
The dremel itself works great however one of the attachment tips broke off and I had to order spare parts. Once that was fixed it works great! Battery life lasts a decent amount of time and the noise lever is not overpowering. Easy to use as well!

Quick and easy to use.
Awesome works quick and gets the job done. It’s loud so it took some time before my dog got used to the sound but it’s works so fast, I’m done before she can even pull away. I would definitely recommend this tool!

Perfect. Exactly what I needed.
As advertised. I noticed that a few of my dogs nail were too long/thick to clip. I needed a grinder. This tool worked perfectly. I would give it a 100/100. Very quiet. Fast !!! You can literally see the nail disintegrate before your eyes.

No more long nails for our lab
This is not as quiet as some other models but it didn’t freak out dog out and the power is very good. Our 100 pound lab has thick nails and I was able to trim them fairly quickly with this tool, the charge lasts a long time. My dog hates having his nails done but tolerated this well. It was easy to use. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting a quality product to do at home nail care. I liked the various speed options.

Good for dogs with thick nails
Absolutely love this product. I have a dog with thick nails. I was able to use it without clipping and it was able to grind. Just be careful I swap between nails because it does get hot on your dog's nails. So I do a portion of one and swap to another. Go back to it and vice versa. The noise level as it gets higher and intensity is a little high pitch for my dog but it doesn't take that long. The weight of it is a little more than the usual ones but I suspected that because of the power.

Good Product, But Received Used and Missing Parts — Frustrating Experience
I received this Dremel PawControl used and missing parts, including the charger, and the sandpaper attachments were completely worn down. I tried to get a replacement, but my only option was to return and reorder. Since I bought this during a Prime Day promotion, reordering meant spending more money upfront, which was frustrating.I contacted Amazon support, and they said I’d have to return the item and reorder, then they would refund the price difference later. Because I already had a compatible charger and attachments, I asked for a partial refund due to the hassle and the very used condition of the product. As for the tool itself, I do like that it’s rechargeable, but the battery life is disappointing. It usually dies or noticeably weakens by the 3rd paw of the 4th dog. For someone with fewer dogs or who works faster, it might be fine, but for me, it’s just okay.Overall, the product works well when charged but the purchase and battery issues made this less than ideal.
