We got these blocks as a new toy to entertain our 2.5 year old during some recent travels from SoCal to the Bay. As expected, these were a hit with him as he has been into blocks and building. But they also were a hit with our 14 month old who loves separating the blocks. This, of course, leads to some frustration as son builds and daughter separates, but I can't blame the blocks for that. I thought 40 blocks would be plenty, but this is a toy that really lets the 2.5 year old get creative (making letters out of the blocks, etc.), so I do wish they made a larger set (either with 80 blocks or together with the colored set, too) for use at home. But for our intended purpose (as a toy for travel), the 40 block set was great.

Surprisingly entertaining for kids and adults. The magnets could be a little stronger but overall the satisfying "shnick" when you connect each block, makes up for the lower strength magnets. A little expensive for a toy and you really need at least 2 kits to build much. I would purchase again and will probably order 2 more since my kids are always fighting over them. My 4 year old who never stops moving played with these for 3 hours Christmas morning and that is why I gave it 5 stars!

My kids enjoy creating and building things. I thought these would be a great way to be creative and keep busy fingers active. I think they are great. I was hoping for a stronger magnetic connection, and therefore a bit heavier weight on the individual blocks, but they work as intended. I will use them to help early readers as they segment sounds and manipulate words. I would recommend these to anyone who is in early childhood education, or has kids who like to have creative play.

3yr old loves them in the car. Just wish they came with more in a set!

Blocks are plastic with magnets inside. Blocks are smaller than expected but who cares? My 2 yr old loves it and they’re too big for him to swallow so safe. Good buy. I’m getting more so he can continue to build.

My kids LOVE these magnetic cubes! The possibilities are endless for building. We have then in b&w and colors as well - they love them all. Quality item that keeps my kids engaged and happy!

I ordered these as a Christmas present for my toddler, but the magnet strength is horrible on these. I felt like he could barley build with these because the blocks did not stick well. Super bummed because I was really excited about this purchase for him.
