Franco Sarto Women's Hawk Ballet Flat

I have to say, I have been looking for the perfect women's flat for over a year now with no success. I would buy a pair on Amazon that looked like they would be perfect, and would have to return them because they're not as expected, too narrow, cause blisters or something worse. After pondering and much indecisiveness due to so many disappointments from various shoe vendors through Amazon, I ordered the Franco Sarto Women's Hawk D'Orsay Flat in Black. I wanted to buy it in the beige/nude as well, but because of past experiences, I chose to buy just one pair this go around to try. I just received them and from the minute I took them out of the box and slipped them on my feet I was ecstatic! These shoes are by far the most comfortable, perfect, elegant Women's flat out there. The leather is supple like a worn leather handbag and the sole is flexible and comfortable. The sides and back do not pinch my skin like other flats did, and would normally give me blisters within the first 10 minutes of wearing them! I have been walking around with these on for two hours now and no issues! Thank you Franco Sarto for making a beautiful Women's flat that is not only stylish and appealing, it's comfortable and can be worn all day without a problem. Best flat ever!!! So thrilled! I will buy the beige/nude immediately!

As for the other reviews saying the product being too oversized, I ordered a size smaller and it was too tight, so I had too reorder my normal size 9. I have a narrow foot, so I was surprised the 8.5 did not fit. I think it has to do with how the shoe is made. The nine feels just right, but not as comfortable as I would like for a flat. I will keep and see how it feels after a few wears.

Love these shoes in Black. I would definitely buy again. A good quality, stylish D'Orsay flat is not easy to come by at this price point, and they remind me of the Jenni Kayne flat, but a fraction of the price. I'm keeping my eye on other colors for the near future.For sizing - go 1/2 size down as other reviewers suggest. I purchased both the 8.5 and 9, knowing one pair was going back, and decided the 9 was a better fit out of the box. After a day of wear, the shoe on my negligibly smaller right foot was sliding off while I walked. The 8.5 might have taken a day to break in, but then I wouldn't be swimming in them. Of course there's no arch support, but that's what you sign up for when you choose this style of shoe.

They were nice and elegant for a short period of time. Then they expanded too much to the point that they felt as if I was wearing flip-flops.

I really wanted to like these shoes and I've been wanting to get pair of comfortable d'orsay flats, but sadly I will have to return them. The pointed toe added about an additional half inch on my foot, making my size 9 feet look huge. My big toes were also squished. If i were younger, i would probably keep them and deal with the discomfort, but i need something more comfortable. I still think Franco sarto makes quality shoes, but these just didn't work for me; d'orsay flats look cute, but generally difficult to wear.

I had seen these in a local store...but my usual 6.5 or 7 was way too big. Took a chance and ordered a 6 online. They fit almost perfectly. I wore them around the house in socks for a day and then packed them for a trip. They were comfortable on walking tours of up to 10 miles. They look cute with a variety of jeans (skinnies, pegged boyfriend, etc.) and will also work well with a pencil skirt at work. I liked them so much that I actually bought a second pair to keep in my closet for when these wear out.

I am a huge Franco Sarto fan and have several pairs of shoes and boots. This shoe is SO cute but way to big and stretched after one wear even bigger. I walk out of them. I should have been more aware of the previous reviews. I can't wear them and will be selling them on ebay.

These shoes go with nearly anything. The gray pearl color is a great neutral to work around! And, the chic, pointed toe shape makes even slouchy jeans look sharp. The long toe cap is really flattering for (at least my) long feet. I'm normally a size 8, but I ordered a 7.5 to make sure they wouldn't flop around--d'orsays, you know. My toes were little pinched the first couple of wears, but they stretched and now fit perfectly.
