Q: I wear a31 waist in many other brands. with that info, is the 30 or the 32 closest to a 31 waist? would like to avoid the hassle of returning item.

I thought the waist was cut a little tight. . I wear a 36 waist and these fit much tighter than my other pants. .. I would go with 32 .

Regular fit is more tight or more stiff Relaxed baggy

Q: Do these have a regular button closure or that metal slide thing?

They have a metal hook and loop fastener.

Q: What's with the missing belt loop above rear right pocket? I only purchase pants with 7 belt loops.

The ones that i recieved have 7 belt loops. Size 32 same shorts.
