Complete Junk. Bait and switch.
The hooks I received are NOT what is shown. They are NOT made in the USA. They took 3 weeks to get delivered from China. They barely fit over the headrest posts and the hook end is so small and pinched closed that you wouldn't be able to hook anything easily. Complete junk. I want a refund.

Great for kids coats and back packs!
I just put these hooks in my car today so I can only review after a few times of use, but I already am so happy to have them. I have 4 total in my mini van. I have 2 preschool age children and it was driving me crazy that as soon as they would hop in the van they would throw their coats and back packs on the floor and then walk over them! The hooks have already saved the day! They were so excited to hang their stuff up.You should have your head rest all the way down to keep the hooks snug, but that is not an issue for me and it says it right on the package. Depending how far forward your front seats are my kids feet do touch the hanging costs but that is not an issue for me either. They seem super strong and durable. We are leaving for a 16 hour road trip soon and I'm happy to have these to keep the van organized!

With a little modification, almost perfect
Previously, I had used the "Double Vehicle Hangers" such as Double Vehicle Hangers, Car Seat Hook(Pack of 2) that are sold under a variety of brand names; the weakness of those hooks is that, particularly in cold weather, the part that snaps onto the upright rod of the headrest breaks. I've had five of them break that way. I like the Handy Hooky better as it's sturdier. As others have observed, though, the Handy Hooky tends to lift off the rod and fall off when you take a purse or bag off the Handy Hooky. But there is a simple solution that makes the Handy Hooky work perfectly. Just get some heavy-duty rubber bands ("gum bands" if you're in Pittsburgh) in the right size, slide one up from the bottom of the Handy Hooky to near the top, stretch it, and place the other end of the rubber band over the end of the Handy Hooky. This secures it to the upright rod of the headrest so it won't fall off. You can find the perfect rubber bands on Amazon at Small Tactical 10 Pcs Rigger's 1 1/4 X 3/8 Inch Rubber Heavy Duty Bands Combat Military Climbing Skydiving . If I had any complaint, I would like the hook on the bottom just a tad wider.

simple, sturdy, yay!
since my mom's stroke, I've had to put down the back seats in the Scion to make room for her walker. It's just logical to leave it that way instead of repeating the procedure when I take her to appointments. Well, when we have to run errands, and she's with me, the purchases are put in the back; with each turn, start and stop, everything rolls or moves around back there. When we get home, it's scattered all over, even wedged by the two passenger doors, and I have to make sure nothing breakable falls out. I'm leaning and crawling around, and finally had enough. After reading reviews, I decided to go with these. It's simple, sturdy, easily installed, and what a difference! The bags hung down in place, no more chasing cans and bottles. There is a problem though....I'll have to get another set! I was concerned that it would slip off when there's nothing hanging on them, but it didn't happen, and there also wasn't any rattling noise. It tends to lift up when I'm removing heavy bags, but that doesn't bother me. You also don't have measure between the posts, as other products require.

Inexpensive solution for extra storage
The hooks arrived in a timely manner. They are for holding light weight items only. A heavy item, say 2 pounds, pulls the hooks down & presses it into back of seat - hence they tell you to put your headrest entirely down to keep hook more horizontal. However, your headrest should be at the height that you need it for safety- just hang light weight item from hooks. I keep them attached sideways when not in use rather than sticking out because movement of car can cause the hook to dislocate when they are empty. The weight of the bag will keep them in place when being used. They served my purpose and I am pleased with them.

The ride home from school is now a peaceful one.
Love these. Finally, a place where my three-year olds can hang their backpacks and still be able to reach them. No more, "Mom, can you get ____ out of my backpack?" all the way home from school. No more worries about their bags sliding off of the center console between their seats if I have to brake suddenly. Also, one of my boys likes to break everything, or see if he can, anyway. So the first day this hook was up, he noticed it, but not until after I had already put him in his carseat. The second day, however, he was able to take it off of the seat in front of him before I realized he had it. We were driving on the expressway before I realized he had it. And, true to form, he was trying to break it. It stood up to him doing his worst to it for forty miles. Love these things. Wish I'd bought them a year ago. :)

Hangers fall off headrest easily!
I purchased these hangers so I would be able to have my purse handy from the drivers seat when I have a passenger in the other front seat. The concept was great but these hangers don’t stay on the headrest. They fall off all the time and usually end up under the front seat where you can’t retrieve them easily. I ended up getting a different type of hanger that stays on the headrest and I like that much better!

Recommend.
These are great. They are lightweight and sturdy. I gave it lesser stars initially because of the way the hook sat on my seat. Then I decided to confirm I'd put the hooks on correctly. It turns out there's a correct side to have facing out, and once I switched the hook around it worked incredibly well. The hook is not obnoxious nor does it protrude too far out. It's perfect for my uses. I use one up front in the passengers seat, facing forward so I can hook my habdbag on it. I use the other 3 in the very back of my SUV facing toward the hatchback door to hang my gym bag and miscellaneous items. It's lovely. I changed my review from 2 to 5 stars.
