Q: Why doesn’t samsung sell a consumer version of this tv (basically, i have no interest in a tuner or “smart” features.

This is mostly Digital Signage Display . if you don't need TV , then this work for you

Q: Does this display have audio output ?

You can connect to an audio system via a audio out. I believe it is 3.5 mm ou per digram on manual it appears 3.5 mm out.

Q: So, is this as insecure as a smart tv? is it's cost subsidized by spying on clients like their smart tvs? because i can't have that in my business.

It has been a while since you asked but I will answer anyway. You can not turn off the radios. So the wifi is constantly on and someone could theoretically hack into it.
