I know they say not to use it to fix snow globes, but if your measurements are correct, and I measured the diameter of the base the depth of the base and even the diameter of the old gasket. I also measured the decoration that’s going inside. It’s not hard to put the gasket in place. My project’s not completely done but it will be soon, so I’ll add pictures later. I actually have a lot of projects so I have one of these, and three of the same size that comes with the maple base and a bottom that can take a music box (inspiration hit s suddenly when I saw something in my room that would l look great in a snow globe, but I didn’t already have a base for the two projects I have in mind for those).The company is awesome. I wanted to buy three of the 4 inch also but the gasket was showing as green. I called the company from the number on their website and left a message, asking about a cream gasket. They called me back the instant they were open again and left me a message letting me know that all the new stock has cream colored gaskets whether I choose to buy on Amazon or their own site. That was excellent customer service. They’ve also always answered any questions that I’ve posted on this website. I’vePleases be advised that this particular item is only supposed to come with the globe, the gasket, and the snow. This one does not come with a base. They have another 4-3/4 inch globe that comes with a beautifully shaped maple finished wooden base. It’s also the only size that comes with a bottom in the base for putting in a music box. You’ve just gotta find the right one. This particular product though, isn’t supposed to have a base. It’s exclusively made for people to be able to put in their own bases.Also please be aware that the company recommends E6000 glue as it’s waterproof. I thought epoxy glue would be waterproof but I looked at the package on mine and it said water resistant. Also, be careful placing your artwork. You need to leave a small space on the gasket around your art so the gasket can be maneuvered into position. It needs just that tiny bit of flexibility at the top as well still. The professionally made ones leave a space around the art that’s in theirs. You won’t really see that extra bit once it’s inside the globe.

Not very happy with the product. This product is not for DIY. This thing is very hard to seal. This is the second one I broke trying to get the stopper down. I was much further trying to break the seal to let water and air come out. But it shattered at the last step. Not going to try again. Going to hire some to do it.

Love the glass bulbs. Lots of plastic out there but I am refurbishing very old globes and wanted glass.

The packaging and all was great. But there must be a trick to getting the gasket into the globe. Flexed it so much trying to get it in that the figurines came off (and I had used epoxy). Project still not complete. Frustrated.

My husband fixed a musical snow globe with this kit and it worked great! We can listen to our Christmas snow globe which we received our first year of marriage again! I would give it five stars if they included enough snow for one globe. You really need three kit to fix to snow globes because there is not enough fake snow included.
