Solid Quality Sound and Great Design
I’ve owned my Motorheadphones for about a year now (11 months or so) and these are seriously the best headphones I own. I have about 23 pairs laying around; Beats by Dre from Sony PlayStation Bluetooth wireless, cheap, expensive, over the ear, in the ear and everything thing in between. I have a problem…I know. The reason is really quite simple.Okay, First off they sound just amazing, not too much on the low ends, and mids/highs are solid too.But here’s the real reason Motorheadphones have me writing this review. It’s been 11 months, 11 long months of wear, tear, travel, abuse and drops and I swear to you all…not a single dent in neither the physical quality nor the sound quality. These headphones last like a mother_____! And I’m not a genital guy I did my best to tare these things up, tossed them in bags, shoved them in drawers, wore them around on a hot day, went to the beach, wore to a punk show (long story but I happened to have them on) and even the weakest (looking) link, the ear covers, those wonderful soft comfy and just enjoyable to wear ear covers? They are in great shape. I mean they’re a bit dusty and have some hair on them, I have a cat, but to my eye they don’t even look a bit faded. After 11 months. Still look as black like Lemmy’s hair (in the 60s)My only real issue…These headphones do come with a very long cable to attach them to your music listening device or, as I use them for video editing, a computer. I’m an editor and it’s a bit ridiculous to be honest, it’s like 5 feet long, however, like the headphones themselves it is very durable, I’ve ran over that thing with my chair like a billion times and hasn’t cracked, it’s a shoestring type material so it does fray but nothing too bad.But seriously, if you’re thinking… “Boy I love how these look and I bet they are pretty good, and that name is just great!!!” just click that buy button. I promise you won’t be upset; these headphones just blew me away…11 months!!! I’ve paid way more in my life for just like 20 min of work! (Depends on the city/company/what’s being offered and all)

Good while they lasted
I love these headphones, but they only lasted 3 months before one cup stopped working. Here's 5 more words Amazon!

Great sound
The sound is truly fantastic, especially for the kind of music Lemmy likes/plays. Well built, comfortable, and most of all LOUD AND CLEAR. Excellent value.Only four stars because the volume buttons do not work on Android, alas. But then, 'set the volume to 11 and stop fiddling with it' is a winning strategy.Updated December 2013:Still sounding great, but somehow the headphone jack got bent and is difficult to insert. Contacted Sweden, they shipped me a new Controlizer cable right away, and to Japan, no less. So there you have it - excellent service as well. Just buy them already, Lemmy commands you.

Broke after less than two weeks!
The sound quality was excellent on these but after having used them for maybe 15 hours over a two week period the sound started to break up in the single cable that attaches to the headphones. This quickly turned to no sound at all, I guess the wires inside the cable broke. Returned to Amazon for a refund.

Extra Money Means Extra Performance: Much Better Than Beats (EDITED)
There is nothing cheap about these headphones, and while that also includes the price, you'll know where the extra money went. They are well-constructed, feeling very solid upon one's head, and although I have no hair, I was able to wear them directly on my head for several hours with no rubbing, chafing or any ill effects. The headphone cups cover your ears completely, and although they are not noise-cancelling, when the music plays it will definitely drown out the outside world.I tested these headphones on every type of music I could get my smartphone on, and did so without using any equalizing apps or mucking around with the baseline sound. Simply put, they performed great. Although designed for hard rock and heavy metal (AC/DC's "Back In Black" album has never sounded so good through a pair of headphones), the Motorizers will also render any other kind of music to your liking as well. Katy Perry, Enya, Mighty Mighty Bosstones... even Lady Gaga sounded great through them. With these headphones, you can actually hear the individual instruments as opposed to the slab-of-sludgy-sound approach preferred by most manufacturers these days. They're also great for computer gaming, so that is a serious bonus.Admittedly $129 for a pair of headphones is fairly steep, but guitars were meant to sound like guitars, not annoying bursts of static through bud-style headphones. Especially when compared against what the top-selling headphones are going for ($300 for sludge), this is a relative bargain. Get a pair, listen to some rock and roll of your choice, and you will not be disappointed.UPDATE: After six months, the headphone plug next to the left cup started working very intermittently, cutting in and out constantly. The headphones are now pretty much trash. Fun while it lasted so I'm keeping the original review material in this update, but for $130.00, you should get more than six months. I am going to contact the manufacturer and see if this is covered by the warranty.
