Works well so far. A nice safety device.
Works very well so far. Installed it a few months ago and have it set to prevent scalding. We used to have our hot water heater turned way down to prevent our kids from getting burned, but the problem was that we'd run out of hot water after a 5 minute shower. We were able to put the hot water heater back to a normal setting after we put this mixing valve in and prevent the hot water tap output temperature from being too high.

Everyone should install one.
This valve allows me to use a 50 gallon hot water heater to fill a 75 gallon hot tub. Also allows you to keep water in tank at 140 degrees to protect against bacteria growth.Nice quality from Caleffi. Make sure you chose the one with the integral check valves.

Advertised as good for hardwater installations, complete fail
This was to replace a 9 year old valve that was clogged with lime from hardwater. I installed it without issue, 3 months later it was no longer possible to turn the adjusting knob. I soaked the old one in white vinegar which restored it's smooth operation and replaced the Caleffi. Soaked the Caleffi in the same manner without success. Now only useful as an expensive paperweight... Very glad I did not replace all of my original valves at once!

Works
We live in the woods. Needed hot water so went to the local plumbing store. I paid 271 dollars for this same valve. Had to have it. Very high quality mixing valve. I was surprised they even had one.
