Good watch, Good Value! Great hands free option and Better than Expected music/ video.
This review is a bit stream of consciousness. I wrote it in Evernote as I used and discovered more about the watch. I primarily wanted this watch to:* Be a watch.* Be a phone replacement on vacation, while I'm at an amusement park, for example.* Be a hands-free phone option tethered to my iPhone.* Be a music player on bluetooth headset for my daily walks.* Be not several hundred dollars.----Arrived Sunday May 10, 2015, together with 32GB SanDisk Ultra 32GB Micro SDHC Card.I inserted an AT&T Sim Card from iPhone 4s without any special configuration. Connected right up.I paired it with Soundpeats QY7 v4.1 Blueetooh Mini Lightweight Wireless Stereo Sports Buds.First Impressions: Looks good, feels solid. Packaged well. Instruction manual text is microscopic. Little or no Apple iPhone support - but does connect easily via bluetooth. This was no surprise - the product was clearly marked no iOS app for the more advanced features.Easy to connect as Mass Storage. I put my Music and a bunch of movies on it, about 12GB in total. This feature works really well.Easy if peculiar to connect to Bluetooth headset. You must select “Bluetooth Dialer” from the Watch, then search for the device. Worked great! The watch’s software itself is in general … peculiar. I still don’t quite understand how I was finally able to add a phone number to a contact. The “SIM Toolkit” just says “Currently not available.” (?) You control sounds of the unit under “Profiles.” Sedentary Reminder set to 30 minutes. Sleep Monitor says “Sedentary Monitor is active, please stop first.” So I did that. Other than that, I have no clue what’s going on here. Sedentary Reminder did pop up in 30 minutes to tell me I had been sedentary. This was true. The Audio Player found music in sub-folders. The Audio Player sounds surprisingly good paired to the QY7 headphones, but I did have occasional momentary dropouts. I cannot definitively say whether this was the headphones or the watch, or power for either device. The Audio Player lacks any controls other than play/ pause and swiping to get to the next song (alphabetically, I presume). I will be winnowing down the number of songs on the watch so I can have the mix I want. Maybe better to export iTunes playlists as needed. The File Explorer is easier to use to navigate through the many folders of music. But it does not seem to have the ability to preview/ play m4a files. It does play mp3s - without any audio control features. However, via File Explorer, the mp3s are not musical quality. I guess it’s just a preview option. Good enough to sample what something is, but you want the use the Audio Player if you’re listening to music. The Video Player did not find movies because I had them in a subfolder, I think. I used the File Explorer to get to the movie I wanted want, and then opened it from there. Doing so did give me a Video Player with a fairly decent interface. Scrubbing on 90 minute movies was about as good as I could have expected. It was cool to watch video on there! Well done! Why it’s completely different from the Audio Player paradigm is anyone’s guess, though I suspect that kind of thing is why we (over) pay Apple so much for their stuff. The keyboard for messaging really is very, very tiny. It was responsive and worked, but hard on my old eyes. Definitely cannot do without my glasses on. It’s difficult to type a message at best. I don’t know what a better solution is for such a small screen. Speech to text? Doesn’t appear to have this capability. For giggles, I tried connecting my Logitech Solar K760 Bluetooth Keyboard, but it did not find it.It is difficult to see in bright sunlight. You do have to cup your hand over it. You can see the time just fine, but I found it tedious trying to navigate the software. You can add events to the Calendar App. Here again the software is peculiar: there’s no clue what it wants you to do to leave the Calendar screen. The on/ off button gets you out. In most other apps there’s a “Back” option. With a SIM Card inserted, the battery life toward the end of the day was … worn out. It did not last the entire day. But to be fair, the connection to my provider (AT&T) got really dodgy as the day wore on. Slipped into Emergency mode and Invalid SIM mode intermittently. Rebooted a few times, got ATT back, called my son with headset. First call aborted. Second call went through but was still a bit shaky. Again, this was definitely towards the end of the battery life.Using _without_ a SIM card, and tethered to my iPhone via Bluetooth, the battery life has been terrific. Call quality is very good. Easy to hear and answer calls. This is a great hands-free option.Camera / Video: these work, but I really didn't exercise these a lot. I didn't really care much about this feature.

All in all a good purchase
I purchased this watch to accompany a more expensive Asus Zen Smart watch. The reason being that I wanted a watch that I could wear while doing my very physical job. I must say that I do like like the Veezy Smartwatch. It does work differently than the Android based watches. But you can make and receive calls. And you can receive notifications. The speaker and microphone are surprisingly very good. I asked a question from the Veezy support website and they contacted me with an answer quite quickly. I was disappointed that the answer was that the stand alone SIM operation would not work with my carrier (Verizon). It would have great. I wanted to install a 32 gb storage card in the SIM slot but I could not find the exact card to fit. The micro card that I bought did not fit. Maybe the Veezy people can let me know exactly which card to purchase. All in all sO would say that this w as tech is a good purchase.

Pleasantly surprised.
I have to admit I am pleasantly surprised by the quality and functionality of this smart watch. I was hesitant at purchase of the "smartness" of this smart watch, after all, for ~$60 (I got mine for ~$30 because of an additional discount), how good can it be? Most regular watches cost more than that let alone a smart watch. There is a quick response scan code on the watch, I scanned it with my phone, followed the instructions, and the watch and phone synced with each other via bluetooth. For a Samsung smartwatch or an Apple phone, I could have paid hundreds of more dollars but I would have gotten the same thing, ability to talk on my phone, get test messages and a couple of other apps. This phone can also function as a stand alone phone with a Sim card. People are envious of my Veezy phone and I get many inquiries.

Stay away from this watch
This review is from a family member of the account holder.Having not the required funds to purchase a Samsung Galaxy Gear, I instead turned to third-party manufacturers. Seeing the good reviews and good price this product had, I decided to purchase this for its aesthetics and hardware that could easily be a good stand-in for any Gear, or so I believed. This performs at first glance similarly to other smartwatches, and has hardware that most others have. However, the hardware used in this smartwatch is absolutely abysmal. The only aspect of its hardware that is decent is the design itself, which is pleasing to look at. The camera is bad, the sound quality is bad, and not only that, but the lack of customization options truly binds you into the shell of the watch and not the potential that lies beyond it.This watch has an app that you pair with your smartphone so it can receive texts to display on the watch, and a Bluetooth function for the consumer to place calls or, with its ability to load a SIM card, to be a standalone phone. However, it cannot even pair to a smartphone using 5.0 Lollipop because the app is simply not compatible with the hardware and software of the Note 4, which is what I use. The developers have told this page that they're "working on an update" for some time now. I have not seen anything close to an update for their "Bluetooth Notifier" which still remains incompatible with the device (if you can find it while browsing Google Play; without a direct link the thing is near impossible to find, and likely a consumer will find another app meant for a different watch). So since it can't pair to my phone, I can't find any use for it other than having a device on my wrist that can take pictures. I guess I should wait until they finally update their app so I can properly enjoy the watch as has been intended, and for now this will be put away in a drawer to await its day of use.Verdict: Don't buy this until Veezy has solved their incompatibility issue with the notifier.
