Love, love, loved it!
Warning!!!This book will make you ignore you kids, make the dog cross his legs and make dinner be take out. You wonât want to put it down! Thanks to being at home all day I can totally indulge my reading. This is a brand new series from Amanda M Lee and the only thing I donât like about it is I canât go straight to the next book.I. Have. To. Wait. That bit is kinda killing me because Iâm dying to see where the characters go next. As with other series, you can absolutely read as a stand alone but go on, try! I defy you not to get invested and need to know more.

A Good First Book
I really liked this book. I like how Stormy struggles with her emotions and self confidence, but not in a whiny way. I love Hunter. He has his own struggles, but is facing them and how they both deal with each other and the past. I hope Sebastian, Alice, and a few more friends from Stormyâs past appears in the future books that I canât wait to read.

Good story...
but nothing like Witches of Midwest, Avery Shaw, Moonstone Bay, Spells Angels and Elemental Witches of Eternal Springs. I wish Amanda would just keep writing Witches of Midwest & Avery Shaw books! I ADORE BOTH Series! This was good, but I recognized many coincidental things from other series. I still order and read all the new books by Amanda Lee and will continue to do so, but start with the Wicked Witches Series and you wonât be able to put them down!

Interesting New Series
Stormy is back in her small home town, working as a waitress in her grandfather's diner. When she left for college she thought it would be for good. But, after one best seller in women's fiction and one other book that went nowhere, she returned home, to find a dead man behind her apartment. This was a good first book in a new series. As in any first book there was world building and character development that slowed the pace in the beginning, but was critical to the series. The trope is a well loved one, find a dead body, detective is your ex-boyfriend, etc. I found what stood out for me in this book was the heroine's grandfather. All his old stories and words of wisdom, and constantly telling Stormy "you know what your problem is" was endearing to me. Wish I had a grandpa like that. He was the best character in the book. Also what I like is where the series will go with Stormy's unusual gift.

First installment of a new series.
This is another fabulous start to a new series from Amanda M Lee. What do you do when your life doesn't go the way you thought it would? Maybe you go home to regroup? Family, first love, mystery and plenty of snark of course. Loved it. Will be patiently ( yeah right)đ for book 2.

Very worthwhile--give this new series a try!
I read several of the series by Amanda M. Lee and her alter-ego, Lily Harper Hart. I have tried several other of her series but not continued with them. There are many common threads among her series and that sometimes gives me a pause before trying one of her new series. This one was well worth it. The character depth and development were excellent . . . very rewarding. The common threads are still there, along with the promise of linking up with the Wicked Witches of the Midwest series, which is one of the author's best series. But I felt closer to the main characters because I was given more insight into what they were thinking & feeling. I'm happy I gave this series a try and plan to stick with it.

New Series is Awesome!
So I gave this one a try thinking it would just be ok since it is a Cozy mystery. I did not expect the in depth character development and the instant attraction to the characters. I love all of Amanda's books and should have nKnown this one would be amazing . I will never doubt her again. The characters had me laughing and the grandfather was off the charts. Reminded me a bit of My Big Fat GreekWedding with the family in everyone's business. I could not put this one down!

Another great series.
This series has some similarities to the Maddie Graves series. Stormy and Hunter are teenage sweethearts but they break up when Stormy goes away to college wanting a life away from Shadow Hills. Hunter was supposed to go with her but when the time came he wasn't able to. Roll on the years and life has not turned out as Stormy planned so here she is back in Shadow Hills living over and working at her grandfather's restaurant. Hunter is now working for the sheriffs department as a deputy having never left town. Stormy and Hunter run Into each her first day back at work when she finds a dead body outside the restaurants back entrance. He seems indifferent to her but Stormy finds herself still as drawn to him as she used to be A murder in Shadow Hills is unusual so the whole town is talking about it as well as Stormy and Hunter. It's going to be a difficult crime to solve although the victim was a thoroughly disliked man there is no clear motive or suspects. It's a mystery Stormy is determined to solve -------- it takes her mind off her own problems--------- unfortunately her involving herself in the investigation hasn't gone unnoticed. Shadow Hills is the next town over from Hemlock Cove where the Winchesters live so we may get some characters crossing over in future books. Something to look forward to.

A brand new series with lots of magical potential
I really enjoyed this book. Sometimes it can take a little while to get into new characters and a new series, but this felt like reading about long list friends.Stormy is returning home after living the dream then having the rug pulled out from under her. She's gone full circle, from small town with a hot boyfriend to illustrious career, travelling from city to city and then back home again...This time though, with nothing. She has nothing to show from her short moment in the sun. The hot boyfriend she left behind to peruse her career and although he's still in town, and just as hot -if not more-so - is in a fully committed relationship. When Stormy exits the rear of the family restaurant she works at and resides over and stumbles -literally - over a dead body she is thrown face to face with her ex., who is now a police officer, only to realise after all these years that she still has feelings for him. It doesn't help that her busy body (large extended) family are all speculating that it's only a matter of time before the fall I to each other's arms again.Whilst grappling with her feelings of failure as well as her feelings for Hunter (the ex), Stormy decided to do what she can to find the murderer as she feels invested in it as she found him. All this is in addition to the strange things happening to her after a drunken night with a Ouija board and the vehemence from Hunter's current girlfriend. It appears that someone is out to get Stormy. Who though? Could it be the murderer, the crazy new girlfriend or someone else entirely! Only time will tell.Once again Ms Lee has let her superb imagination run wild and produce a fantastic book. I also love the closeness to Hemlock Cove, including the dreams Stormy has including very questionable leggings, and I'm sure moving forward -especially with the hints of Stormy's great grandmother knowing a certain Inn owner in Hemlock Cove - we will meet up with the wicked witches of Midwest and let's not forget their favourite police chief who also happens to be a mentor of sorts of Hunter. So all in all I'm looking forward to this new series moving forward. The best part of all (well kind of) is that I didn't notice any errors at all this first read through. It seems the proof-readers and editing team have really upped their game. Well done and thank you.As ever a final thank you to Amanda M Lee (don't like to presume to call her by her first name when I don't know her đ). Thanks for another wonderful book. You get better all the time - although I still have my reaping favourites đ

Wiching around
A good light read of a book which seemed as much comedial as it was a murder mystery of sorts. Frothy and insubstantial.
