Great Addition to my Tool Bag
I already have a go to Fluke 12B but I wanted the ability to read Amp draw. After receiving this I realized it comes with leads and provides the same functions as a 12B with the addition of the clamp. I am not an electrician but I know electrical and so I was confused when it wasn't providing any Amp readings on my space heater. A quick call to support let me know it has to clamp only on the hot lead as having both in the loop will cancel each other out. Since that is not possible with most home appliances if that's what you want to read.I had to make a small 6" adapter consisting of an extension cord plug and socket. I stripped a short piece of 10/ and made the hot a bit longer with a small loop in between so I could stick my clamp into the loop. which allows me to place it in the line to read appliance Amp usage.

Had a kline and it left me stranded a few times in a 480v panel. Went ahead and payed gor the fluke just for tge quality fluke has

Great meter poor packaging
I appreciate the FLUKE brand and along with most of my coworkers have never used another brand meter. Having said that, I hope someone from FLUKE reads this. I believe these meters are specifically made for field electricians, so this is my personal complaints from the field. First off the leads provided with this meter are ridiculously low quality. They are like toys. They will be immediately thrown away and replaced. Second is the lack of thought in the packaging. This meter includes a tough pouch to store your meter but for some reason you must remove the leads from the meter to fit it into the pouch. Why would you do that? It isn't a big thing but could be much more convenient to use. Third is backlit displays should be standard.My advise to new electricians is you don't need a super accurate meter to check voltage and continuity. The Amp clamp is handy and accurate amp readings is helpful but find something that is durable and easy to use in the field.
