DraminskiDOD2 Deluxe Dog Ovulation Detector - Genuine Original Made in Europe

I purchase a 'no name Dog Ovulation Detector' and found it difficult. So I purchase this Draminski DOD2 Deluxe Dog Ovulation Detector and it was night and day. Easy to use, calculates for you; It has a lot of support and information available. I also requested (on the Draminski website) the guide and they sent the guide with more information that same day which I was very pleased. I have to add that when I opened the product the batteries were already inserted. I sent a message to the seller and the seller reply apologizing and suggested to return and get another one. But, soon after The seller contacted the manufacture and got back to me saying the manufacture informed them that all 2021 units are now shipping with batteries installed. Therefore I had a NEW UNIT. I was grateful that the seller took the time to look in to it and get back to me. Over all, I love the product, the seller and love the support as well. Highly recommend it.

This item is so antiquated and ridiculous...I would NOT recommend it to anyone. The digital display and interface is that of the 1980...a basic blinking cursor with no ability to maneuver within the menus...other than the literally click past every single letter and item ONE BY ONE to get to the letter or item you need half way down the screen...literally EVERY SINGLE LETTER. This is the BIGGEST waste of money I have EVER seen....the interface is absolutely beyond outdated, I actually feel like this item may have been kept in some aged warehouse from the 80's and just repacked with a big case that makes it SEEM like you're getting a lot for your money! TOTAL WASTE OF $500!! DO NOT BUY ... an outdated monochrome 1980s interface is NOT worth even a fraction of what they charge for this piece of garbage.

The interface is terribly dated and clunky, but the product seems to do what it is designed to do. It gives me secondary information to back up what my male dogs are saying. It doesn't seem as accurate for my smallest toy dams, so it seems to be better suited to dogs over 5 pounds. A couple of my females are harder to read with few outward signs, and if my males are fixated on another female, this ensures I won't miss a breeding. My small breed doesn't seem to produce the high numbers that the instructions say are ovulation levels, so go by the graph pattern rather than numbers. The computer-generated graphs are handy. No malware problems with the foreign software.

I bought this product in order to make sure that I was able to travel at the exact time for breeding. We do not have a repo vet in my vicinity. I got reading all over the map....from the low 100's to over 900 and none of the readings predicted breeding time.I traveled with the expectation of breeding. Fortunately, the stud dog's owner has a repo vet in her area and we were accurately able to blood test her ovulation cycle. But I spent an unnecessary week in hotel fees because of this.DO NOT trust this product to determine breeding readiness. It is not accurate.

We decided not to risk missing a litter on a low-grade knock-off (and why support that anyway?).We actually bought version 1 of this, no electronics, just the probe and a read-out number.I studied the directions in DEPTH and tracked numbers from both my females. At first it was hard to get it fully inserted. I have "Frenchtons" and was finally able to get it all but 2.5 inches in (that's a LONG ways!).Have one person hold the dog while you carefully insert and spin 3x, pushing the button once, then repeating another 3 times. Do NOT lube it up! It measures the viscosity of the vaginal fluid. Clean with alcohol after use.I tracked the daily numbers (taken same time each day) and both my females numbers were nearly identical but 5 days apart. My one male bred my female himself on the suggested day according to the numbers, so my second female we did AI on 5 days later according to her chart numbers.Now she is bursting to the brim pregnant. My AI stud owner was VERY skeptical and almost wouldn't breed without vet "numbers". But I convinced her and she came and the rest is history!DEFINITELY worth the $$$!!

Only used once, was easy and accurate

Had to rely on progesterone testing because this did not work. Early in her cycle, maybe day 3, she spiked to 900… I thought, okay, initial spike, cool. Then she dropped down into the 200s and never rose higher than 280, not even days after progesterone testing confirmed ovulation.
