It shreds well enough, but as your hands get greasy, the claws tend to slip backwards and off your fingers. So, you have to awkwardly put your thumbs, or even a thumb and a forefinger, against the back of the claws to keep them from sliding around. Otherwise they're very sturdy, very sharp, easy to clean, and pretty easy to use.

It took me less than 5 minutes to completely shred an 8 lb pork roast that would have taken over 30 minutes to do with regular forks. They work great. It does take a bit of getting used to to figure out how to hold your hands to get the best shredding action. Also, be careful with the tips - they're sharp!

A lot of these products are very similar. The plastic seems very strong and hopefully will hold up for a while. I do a lot of grilling and smoking so it better hold up. I wish they made the handle area a little more comfortable. It seems like they could have put a little more work into the grip area.

My daughter and her fiancé love to cook and said that these did a great job pulling meat apart. They've used them on port, beef, and chicken. All I know is that it looks and tastes delicious so they do a good job.

I bought these for my bill who is in the BBQ business and they work great!
