Great item
I just used these or the first time yesterday. They are sharp and cut through the edges cleanly. I have had a similar tool from another brand that were no longer functioning well. These made edging a breeze!

Great Product
We brought edging shears with us when we moved from England but over the years they had lost thier cutting edge. The Spear and Jackson replacement shears are amazingly sharp and easy to use. They make a perfect edge to our lawn without the noise and hassle of a motorized piece of equipent, much better for the environment and good for ones arms!

They work great aside from that though
I'm 5.10 and feel that the handles are a little too short, I end up stooping a little. They work great aside from that though.

A great shears- don't let the low price fool you!
Wow! I bought this to replace an edging shears that I bought (used) 25 years ago in England, but which finally broke. I loved the old shears in spite of its design deficiencies, which had all been addressed by the time this model was designed. It's the perfect height, it works well, and it seems well designed and made. If there's a reason a similar one should cost twice as much, I can't imagine what it is.

Sharp and cuts well
These cutters do a great job and it is a nice zen-like activity as you work around your lawn edge. We have thick grass stems in Florida and it cuts those with ease. I don't like string trimmers or rotating blades and have found this is a perfect alternative.

Great for bad backs
These shears make cutting growth at the base really easy because you don't have to bend (depending on how tall you are). I had a bed of peonies that had died off and needed to cut them low to the ground. Worked wonderfully! Love these.
