These were a gift for my daughter, who loves them. I gave it four stars, though, because the first thing she said was, "Wow. These are heavy." She assured me she has others she wears that are equally heavy, and she had just taken off some very lightweight ones, so the contrast in weight was probably more noticeable. If it's a concern, though, or you have tender ears, be aware of it. They're large and striking, and her three sisters were all touching them and trying to get a closer look. We don't know exactly what that stone or glass is, but they're unique earrings for someone who loves jewelry that makes a statement.Also, the Amazon listing shows a lovely gift box, and they came on a card in a little plastic bag. I found another box, but it somewhat lessened the impact of a rather expensive pair of earrings.

I thought these earrings were only 1/2 an inch long. They are 2 1/2 inches long. Too long for me.

I've had these on my wishlist for a couple of years. Imagine my disappointment once I finally got them... And they are so long. The hook part I mean. You can't even see the cage with the crystal. Unless your hair is dark and you're wearing a dark clored top. I will ask a jeweler if they can make them shorter. Otherwise they'll just sit in a drawer.

The nuggets have more weight than expected. I was hoping for something more elegant. Each head turn created a thump against my face. I would not recommend.
