I would recommend that you look on the bottom of your Whirlpool Air Purifier for the model # of your unit. Then pick the corresponding HEPA filter that fits your model. As far as I can see there are only large and small sizes however there are more than one HEPA filter for each size. That's why you need the model number because the dimension would have multiple matches. You could also open your unit and check the model number on the HEPA filter that is in your unit. On the right hand side of the display screen on the whirlpool model ap45030k , you should find two touch buttons. One is for the charcoal filter and the other is marked for the HEPA filter. Depress that button and release, if necessary do it again and hold for a few seconds. If it's still blinking look at your HEPA filter to see if it's seated correctly and looks to be still unclogged. Ordinarily the standard solution is to replace the filter whether its the carbon filter or HEPA filter. I have a model with takes the same charcoal and HEPA filters - my HEPA lasts over a year in a fairly dusty environment but the charcoal filter lasts a little less time.
