Order a half a size larger if you wear inserts.
The shoe fits a little tighter than some other shoes that I have. However, they are large enough to wear inserts. I broke my ankle in March 1925 and the results is a slow heal the heel is very sensitive and I needed a shoe that I could walk in that had some support. This shoe has given me that support and I’m working with Physical Therapy to reduce swelling and some of the painfulness. I would recommend the shoe as a good walker. It has very supportive arch support.

These are the best shoes.
Brooks walking shoes are the best. I discovered this brand when I worked at a hospital. They provide a lot of support, and I can fit my orthotics under the liner inside the shoe. In the past I had a problem with plantar fasciitis and this shoe combined with orthotics took care of the problem. The sole of the shoe does not curve in by the arch like other shoes, so they are flatter and provide more support in that area, so my ankles don't fall in. I already knew my size because I have bought this brand before. They are pricey but worth it if you have foot pain.

Great walking shoe! Great support!
Love these shoes! I started walking recently and needed a good walking shoe. These did not disappoint. I am 50 years old and a little overweight. These give me the support I need.

Highly recommend for nursing clinicals
I ordered these for nursing school, and they are by far the most comfortable and supportive shoes I’ve come across. Compared to the HOKA Bondi SRs, which many nursing students wear, these are 100% better in my opinion especially if you need strong arch support. They do run a bit more narrow, so if you have wider feet, I recommend sizing up or going with the wide or extra wide option for the best fit.

Brooke Shoes are the only brand I buy.
I have flat feet and a tendency for plantar fasciitis. These are the only shoes that help me. I was having ankle and knee issues. I realized I have not purchased new shoes in over a year. I realized it was time to purchase a new pair of books shoes. Brooks Shoes is only brand I buy. They are the only ones that help me. So, I bought them and my ankle issue stopped and I can walk better now. I highly recommend you try Brooke Shoes. They are on the more expensive side, but they are worth the release they give you. It would be great if they cost less. I tried to splurge once a year to care for myself by buying a pair of Brooks Shoes

Perfect Shoes for My Mom
Bought these Brooks shoes for my mom who's on her feet a lot at work. She says they're the most comfortable shoes she's ever worn! Great support and cushioning. She loves how they look - not too sporty but still professional enough for work. The fit is perfect and no break-in period needed. She's already asking me to order another pair in a different color. Great investment in comfort!
