I'm going to mostly defer to parents to better answer that but knowing roughly the size of everything you listed provided you're just preparing for a day trip that should easily be doable depending on the type of babycarrier. The rucksack isn't that impressive at first glance but once you start putting stuff in there you find you have a remarkable amount of room. I'm maybe using up 1/3 the volume with a large 3 ring binder, 1 large textbook sized hardcover, 3 smaller paperback books, 3 spiral ring notebooks, and a small pack of emergency toiletries. The side packs, are perfect for medium sized thick walled 16 oz thermos with the screw caps, and the small central pouch is maybe 8x6 inches with maybe 1.5-2 inches of depth. The main rucksack is taller then it looks and that's where most your volume comes from. You're probably looking at 2-2.5 times more total volume than your standard issue jansport.
