Doesn't work with my Oculus Quest setup
I have a few short cables that work with ALL of my USB 3.0 ports. This Cable is 10' (3 meters) but doesn't work with ANY of my USB 3.0 ports. Longer cables need to be a higher quality shielding. This doesn't appear to be a high enough quality to support the distance of the cable. I intend on returning the item.

Works and Doesn't Work
Depending on your needs this may or may not work. Let me explain. I bought it for QuestLink and i tried it out on my MacBook Pro when it got here. All worked fine MacBook Pro only has USB C. Then i waited 3 weeks until my new PC parts got here (Covid-19 Shipping...). I get the PC built and get Oculus running. My new PC Mobo does not have USB-C since its a ITX but it does have 4 USB 3.0's. So now i need the adapter the cable came with. Just like they mention you do need to flip the cable in the adapter! Once side is 2.0 and the other is 3.0. Oculus reports all is well Green Marks across the board. I put on the headset and the video instantly freezes after 2 seconds. I never made it to a menu or anything. Just instant freeze as soon as a put on the headset. I did lots of restarts, driver changes, lots of debugging. It always crashed the instant i put it on. Now remember it worked fine on my MacBook Pro no freezes. So I was like Ah Ha! It must be the adapter! Before i emailed support i found another USB-C to C i had around that was only 3ft long. I tested it in the same adapter just be be sure before i contacted support. It worked fine no freezes! Ok so now WTF!If you have USB C on your mother board this should work fine. It worked on my MacBook like I said. BUT with the cable and adapter it did not work on my desktop PC. But the adapter worked with another random shorter cable. So the cable worked on its own, the adapter worked on its own (shorter cable) but together they did not. I don't know what to make of this.

Using this with Oculus Quest?
I bought this cable to use with Oculus Quest so that I could connect to play Half Life - Alyx on PC/Steam. At first I used the USB type C connect straight on the front of my computer and it worked but kept dropping connection (probably just a power issue with the port not the cable) then I bought a powered USB 3 extension cable (which added a good amount of extra length) and used the adapter that comes with the cable to plug into a regular USB 3.1 type A or whatever on my computer and... To my dissapointment it wouldn't work, Oculus software saw that it was connected but would read it as a data connection only, no link...IF YOU HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AS I HAD DO THIS:after fiddling with it a few times I realized if I turned the USB - C end a different way when I plugged it into the adapter .. IT WORKED! Good luck, good cable for the price!

Works with Oculus Quest for me using USB-C
I bought this to use with Quest Link for the Oculus Quest. I think it is a little finicky when it comes to compatibility. I was able to get the Quest connected to my computer with charging & data working using the included USB Type A adapter, connected the USB 3.1 Type A port on my motherboard. However, it would not connect to the Oculus Link software. It detected a connection, but kept giving me an error telling me to try a different cable. Since I didn't have any USB Type C ports on my PC, I bought a PCI-E card* that had a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type C port. Once I installed this, I was able to connect to Oculus Link without any issues. One problem with the cable is that it is a little short. 10 feet sounded pretty long, but when it is plugged into the back of the PC, it runs out pretty quick. There is a longer cable from Party Link, but it specifically recommends not using PCI-E cards or USB Type A adapters. I'm going to get an extension cable instead and see how that works.* The PCI-E card I'm using is "UGREEN PCI-E Card Express USB 3.0 A and USB Type C 3.1 Gen 2 Expansion Card". It requires SATA power (same cable powering SATA hard drives), so make sure you have a free SATA power cable that reaches to your PCI-E slots.

Just doesn't work
I tried every single way of plugging in the cable. I flipped the adapter, I tried every USB 3.0 port on my PC. No matter what I tried, the PC would always cut the connection with the cable after a few seconds. I managed to get Oculus Link to work for a short amount of time. After a few seconds, the screen froze and shut off. When I look on my pc monitor, the game is still running, just not in the headset. I will be returning the PartyLink Cable and selling my Oculus Quest for something better.

Cable works well, adapter is a mixed bag
I've dealt with a few of these. We bought a bunch for our office where we do work with various VR headsets. I also bought one for home use.The adapter that came with the one I bought for home use last week will not work. Its reliably USB 2.0 on one side. However flipped over its USB 3.0 but its constantly going in and out, like every 2 seconds. The cable is perfectly reliable... but I can't use it with my USB 3.0 extender because of the crappy adapter (I've tested without the extender to eliminate it). Most of the earlier ones we have at the office have worked (6 of them I think?). Occasionally I have to fiddle with the adapters, but generally its fine. We have had to mark each adapter independently to figure out which direction gets us USB 3.0. Sometimes it matches the text, sometimes it doesn't. Now these, since we bought them early on, don't have the warning about flipping the adapter to test it... Initial troubleshooting of that took us an hour of exchanging computers, cables, adapters and quests--and not having a clue that the adapters might not be double sided (ITS USB-C for crying out loud, shouldn't be certifiable). So I'd stay away if you need the adapter to work.

Disconnects with the slightest movement
after about 6 months of use (maybe once a week even less), i noticed dropouts and disconnections. Now the cable won't even connect to my pc at all. This has nothing to do with the PC as it occurs on all usb ports and i even used the cable to connect a harddrive and found it disconnecting after 2 seconds.Might be a cheap alternative but be aware it is not a quality product to use after 6 months

Great cord but still short
I like the velcro attached to the cord. Makes it easier to keep it out of the way when you play. I still wish there was a much longer cord out there. Like 25 feet or something

Might be QC problem. Won't connection
Cable was faulty. Lose connection every few seconds. Other reviews seems like it's a QC problem so I would be purchasing another one to try.
