Use the size chart and go with the smallest size that is in your range. Excellent stretch. I'm overweight and I look awesome in this top.

Q: Are these as thick as the much more expensive brands such as Venum, Raven, etc.? Is there a tight rubber band at the bottom to keep it from rising up?

I don't know anything about the brands you mentioned but there is no tight rubber band at the bottom. It's just a standard rash guard material like under armor or NRS.
