A GREAT Folding KnifeAppearance - 9.5 - The Titanium sides are sculpted and not simply flat slabs with a pattern ground in or scale on one side. I gave it a 9.5 only because it is not grip enhanced with some texture, not that it is likely to be required. In addition, the anodized patter is interesting and well done.Function - 9 - likely to become a 10 - The knife is new and opens somewhat stiff, but being experienced with knives I know this will change as it breaks in. The detent is sufficiently stiff to prevent unintentional opening, but not so stiff that you can not flip it open using a thumb stud with a little practice.Materials - 10 The S35VN steel is indisputably one of the finest folding knife blade steels available. And the Titanium Alloys is well, Titanium alloy - it is strong, light, and will not rust.Ergonomics - 10 The sculpted shape fills the hand and the thumb choil is perfect. There edges are not sharp and the knife nicely fills my average sized hand. The clip keeps just enough knife above the pocket to make pulling it out simple.Bottom Line - They are lowering the price point of what a great knife cost. Other premium production knife makers typically charge 100% more need to take note - the price point of great just came down 50%.
