I bought three of these otter boxes to replace the old galaxy tab a case that I had on my children's tablets. The other case was scratching the cases up!!! This case is all black and very plain. There really aren’t any options on colors whatsoever on the tab A. That is disappointing to me, I literally had no choice but to buy the black one. The only other one was white that looked much nicer but takes two months to ship.Otter box gives me piece of mind. I know my tablet and my phones are all protected when I have an otter Box on. There is protection for the front and back that can’t be beat. I don’t like the way the case doesn’t have one corner. I like this item quite a bit. it does what you would expect it to, which is protect the tablet is well as can be expected. I have dropped my Tab A from about 4 feet with this cover on, and i did not suffer any damage. The back shell is a great solution for excellent screen protection. It is not super elegant, as it detaches completely, and is a little stiff to get on and off, but it really does a great job of protecting the screen. The stand functionality of the back shell is convenient. All in all i recommend this case highly.

Very durable in a rough application. This tablet is used by multiple people in a pretty rough environment (hot, cold, dirty, etc). This case is just what we needed. There has been no damage to the tablet and the case is still in very good shape! I highly recommend this case when you need full protection (screen, weather, water, drop proof).

I have the version of the tablet without the S - Pen, and it still fits perfectly. no complains, aside from the following: Why is there a cut out for the word "Samsung" It can let dust in.

Otter box is the gold standard for phone & tablet protection. I have one for my Note and now this one for my Tab A 8". It works and fits perfectly. I fully expect it to hold up under the use of chaos and mayhem, the nick names for my two young sons. My Note still looks brand new.BTW, the Tab A 8" does not support the Samsung stylus.

As always of I can find an OtterBox case for my devices I buy them. They are durable and last a long time with the exception of the stand where the ear tabs break after a year. The case is as much bulletproof.

I just received this in my mail. We had a bit difficulty getting the case apart at first, till we realized the flap for the home button had gotten stuck inside. As soon as we gently pulled it out, it came apart easily. After that it was easy. The on/off button is a little harder to push as is the volume, but the touch screen protector is great even though it is plastic. The cover looks really nice and it's texture makes it easy to hold onto the tablet. The stand is a whole another story. Plainly, it sucks. I looked at the directions on how it is supposed to stand up and it doesn't really do it. The tablet is unstable when using the stand so it is a good thing I bought a life proof case! I probably will never use the stand. Overall I say it is worth the money. The stores by me offer really simple tablet covers that are not protective at all for $80, so I am more than happy to pay 66 for this case. They just need to redesign the stand.

I purchased both the TAB A and the otterbox from amazon. The newer TAB 8 doesnt fit this otterbox. Upon speaking with otterbox they don't even make one for this generation yet.The otterbox itself is top notch though if you have the appropriate tablet. 1/5 stars for the listing clarification. 5/5 for the item itself

This is the first Defender series OtterBox I've purchased, and I am definitely not disappointed! I may even end up getting a Defender series for my phone. Rugged, durable, solid.. it's built like a tank, and definitely sturdy. Love that it comes with built-in stand in the cover piece! Along with the grip-pads to make sure it doesn't shift around when in use. I'd highly recommend this to others!

Perfect case , especially for those with kids. We took this on vacation. My daughter and I are both very clumsy. We have dropped it countless of times so for and our tablet has been intact. Fully trust the Otterbox brand.

OtterBox case offers a good, hard rubber type grip as Samsung Tab A is fairly slippery. Easy to take off the stand and travel with just the case. Think it's a great product at a reasonable price compared to a retail store.
