Q: Hi, can this porridge be microwaved. Thanks.

These are groats of whole oats which have been chopped into 2-3 pieces. They take longer to cook than rolled oats. I usually combine rolled and pinhead and cook on stove with milk and cream for about 15 mins. If using microwave---1 part oats to 4 parts water. Use a large glass bowl, and microwave on high, covered, for 5 mins, and then uncovered for additional 5 mins. Much nicer on stove!
